Speaking of Galio what do folks want to see in his rework? Because honestly I feel like his characterisation's super solid and I'm really hoping that they preserve his friendship with Poppy in some form.

I still would want to preserve his somber character. Though we already got some rather depressing pal in Yorick I feel Galio's main motivation should be upholding his promise to Durand, his newfound conviction sparked by none other than our hammer-wielding Yordle.

Galio is a Guardian and despite Demacia frowning upon magic he's their protector.

Also, Gameplay wise I feel his Idol of Durand is the only thing they'd have to preserve in some shape or form.

Yeah somber is a must. I feel there's a major distinction between Galio and Yorick in that with Yorick, there's barely any hope there, just a desire to persist because he must, and is still bogged down by just how shitty his experience is, where as for Galio I feel like despite perhaps being a bit of a downer at times, he's still very much forward looking. He's been past the darker parts of his history, dealt with his demons to a degree and is working towards a greater goal.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before but I kinda visuallized a friendship between Galio and poppy now as almost being long distance friends, where they go their own way around Demacia doing whatever they do, and eventually meet up again, sometimes after days, sometimes after decades, and just catch up like no time passed at all. Being magical beings who in their own ways are probably not so affected by age, or in Galio's case perhaps not as bogged down by it as some other folks, I feel that bond could be incredibly strong and enduring since though years may have passed, it's like nothing's changed for the two of them, and they can just be totally upfront and honest with each other about how things are and what they're feeling.

Also I want Poppy and Galio teaming up to battle Sion, because that sounds awesome as fuck.

Actually now I'm reminded that I want to know of any history between Galio and Sion.

GOD DAMN I think this might be the most invested in a rework that's ever come out. Jeez someone help me I thought Bandle City would kill me if it comes in 2017, but it looks like Galio just might be my end.

Also yeah The Idol should stay imo or at least be adapted in some way so that the feel of it is preserved. It feels like Galio's biggest high and I feel his gameplay should feed more in to that idea of the ancient protector who literally forces the enemy to stop their pillaging and murder to fight him and then die in a torrent of magic.

I want a relationship like Hogarth and the Iron Giant, where Hogarth inspire him to be Superman. Poppy can inspire Galio to be a guardian again. Also I wouldn't mind having Vin Diesel playing Galio (sorry Ivern/Maokai).

As for gameplay wise I just hope they don't just make him a plain Gargoyle as in climbing up a tower and shooting. That just isn't Guardian maybe an Overwatch looking out for danger but not guarding you by your side.

I think the idea of him being a protector who failed to protect his master is actually a really cool concept. Though otherwise I am pretty much ok with anything in terms of character(gameplaywise I'd like to see him keep the ability to turn into stone)
