Is it just me, or does he give off the impression that he's sort of what Karthus was supposed to be?
Or am i taking the similarities due to Swain's ult too far?
EDIT: Gameplay-wise, not lore or personality-wise. Karthus' character is great, his gameplay just isnt.
Let's see a Warlock who makes a pact with a demon to gather souls as a power source A lich who makes pacts with the undead and uses their souls as weapons and power.
Honestly, the main thing that seperates a Warlock and a Lich is race and...operandi.
Like, they both seek souls and dark powers.
One just happens to be alive and the other undead.
I've always sorta taken this "zealot preacher" vibe with Karthus. Karthus doesn't necessarily want to hurt anybody. He'll kill people, but only to try and lead them to this better afterlife. He's by no stretch a good guy, but Karthus has good intentions, and fancies himself a sort of shepherd.
Swain takes a very different attitude. He's doing what he has to do, and he doesn't exactly care who gets hurt in the process. Swain's ambitions are conquest and power, and he schemes and claws his way to the top.
Both champions are leaders, in a way, but I think the way they go about it feels distinct enough to separate them.
