I have ideas for improving the skin selection interface in champ select
Where do I post the idea?
A problem with the current system is if you have more than one skins on a champ with a ton of them, cycling through them all to find the one you want hasn't been optimized because riot didn't care about UX for paying customers when they designed champ selected. The current system is only really designed around champs with 5 or fewer skins.
Anyways, I noticed something the other day... the little arrows to scroll left and right only have one function, which is single move. There is no option to shift click to go 3 or 5 skins in one direction or no control click to take you to your first skin off screen. Changing this would only require minimal programmer time, it wouldn't require much QA, and shouldn't require any new icons or animations.
Another thing I noticed is the little circles the represent all the skins a champ has are underutilized. Riot could easily fill them in if you own that skin or let them be a different color for if you own them or not. Let's say you are an Ahri main. There are 3 colored circles (base plus the two skins you own) and 10 or so gray circles for the skins you don't own. To cycle easily between them, you just need to click on one of the colored dots. Again, this should be an easy change requiring minimal programmer time, minimal art time (frankly just spending 10 seconds in photoshop to grey out the current circles would do) and minimal QA investments.
