I mean I'm not mad. Something could've came up or they're still planning something, but it's hard not to be that guy and make a comment about communication.

If you read between the lines of that very thread, when people corner him for answers, he gives in and mumbles the usual Riot-generic-apology, but with a few telling details that implied (to me) that 90% of the lore department got fired in the last few months, which is why we didn't hear anything since the original Lore dev blog.

I wouldn't read between between the lines too much. I would like to understand your reasoning, but that can saved for later.

We do know that some personnel have either been given new positions within Narrative, have been shifted away from the Narrative Team or have left the company entirely (Tommy Gnox, the writer of the Dev Blog, left Riot in the middle of the Shurima patch.) However, 90% is too high a number to assume.

I'd just as easily assume that Jaredan's been so focused on getting a new team up to speed that communication with fans was just not important enough to him. It's like when you're in a 5 hour gaming binge and you only notice you're hungry when you start fainting from lack of nutrition.

Also communication on the forums etc. takes *a lot *of time, and the value-return isn't guaranteed. If they have a lot to do internally it wouldn't make sense to spend time on the forums right now.

On the flip side, there is a guarantee that if they don't try to communicate they will continue to be alienate their most hardcore fanbase. And that would continue to embarrass the company as a whole, when Tryndamere can try to make a post saying "we're all about communication" and we can shut that down by simply asking "What about Narrative?"

I beg to differ. A new team coming in can look at mistakes of their predecessors and not repeat them. It's what we were promised by TommyGnox, but Jaredan may have to be the one to deliver.
