Also I slightly squealed when Tamara appeared. It's good to see story progression for some non-champ characters.

It's more like, he used to be a person, but now is a Noxian tool.

It kind of bothers me that Darius shows no desires other than those imposed by Noxus. Draven, who is pretty much insane and enjoys murdering, and Swain, who is there to gain power for God knows what reason, at least have more of a goal. I'm not saying he should have deserted or anything, but midway through the comic he felt like a bi-dimensional character in a tri-dimentional world.

From what I've seen, Darius embraced the core of Noxus values but doesn't like the turn of events Swain and the chem attacks have taken. He surely is less rebellious than Quilletta was and doesn't want to get out of Noxus, rather rebuild Noxus around its core values and bring a more honorful way of approaching battles and government. He can't speak outloud because he knows that this isn't the right moment and just does what he can.

I though Darius was actually an enforcer to Swain, and Singed's chemical attacks preceded Swain's rise to power. Maybe I'm mixing old canon, though.

But well, at least the ground was paved for future Darius development. It's specially interesting that that Quilletta's rebelion is for a similar reason to Riven's self-imposed exile.

We still don't know about Swain rise to power date. Eitherway, his influence over the high spheres could preceed his crowning.

Yet, it's obvious to every1 that Noxus was idolized by young Darius and probably never lived around those values. This doesn't mean that he is not trying to do so though.

That's because they chose different paths. Darius wants to improve Noxus while Riven decided that Noxus itself isn't reedemable.

Something I've been curious to see is a meeting between Darius and Kled. The hand of Noxus and the very stereotype of noxian soldiers, one representing what their home should be, and one representing what Noxus has always been.

It could be an old vs new kind of conflict.
