This vintage watermark. I believe that this splash is unique to legacy skins, before they've been re released.
Here's a key to the guide. Now, naturally, this led to me to assume that this skin would be released again.

You have no idea how much this means to me.

This is why I'm here. There are several factors indicating to why I should get excited:

  • Only legacy skins have this watermark. This means Medieval Twitch could be released again, right?
  • The old Medieval Twitch didn't have the watermark, so something must have changed?
  • People have been asking for another opportunity for this skin. Maybe they listened?

And then I remember the signs which aren't so hopeful:

  • Medieval Twitch is a limited skin, after all :(
  • Championship Riven was treated differently, so why is Medieval Twitch different?
  • Something would have been announced, but nothing has, so it's not looking good

So, will someone put my beating heart to rest?

Well medieval twitch was never intended to be a limited skin, it was meant to be an on going thing with the referral system, it was only because the referral system was so exploitable riot dropped the whole system, and left the skin to be limited rather than just re-release it and disrespect those who got it.

They later said they'd think of something whether it would be a reworked referral system or anything, but 5 seasons later and they never seemed to come up with anything. So they probably finally seen there wasn't any reason to keep hiding it and to just pull a riven and give original owners the border.

It'll probably just go on sale as medieval twitch 2016 or be treated as a legacy since there really wasn't much significantly special about it besides being discontinued due to problems.

Unless they successfully made a good referral system in the alpha client, but they'll probably just make the skin purchasable and same for WW when his rework comes out.

It is probably legacy and will be added to the vault, since the referral system was scrapped. This is a unique opportunity for them to do this, since Twitch and Warwick, who both have the only skins involved in the referral programs, are having those skins come to the spotlight again - Twitch with his splash overhaul (and assumed re-release of skins for a time after they go live) and Warwick because of his very soon VGU.

A rioter left a comment on another Twitch splash related thread saying that this will actually be the only one not being re-released with the updated splash arts. There will be a bundle that can be bought when the time comes-- at least it'll have Whistler Village!
