I know they are different but they look similar and in combat distinction will be even lesser. Moreover color is pretty close.

Zerenza1 votesWhy not do what you did to Star Guardian Poppy and change the color? Star Guardian Poppy's animations were originally yellow but the comunity said it would make more sense if they were blue, so you guys changed it to blue.
Zyra's Dragon skin looks purple, so why not change the sphere's to Pinkish/ Purple instead? Or to the color of her hair.

In the case of this skin, we're confident in the color scheme overall, but are discussing potential ways to differentiate the passive and the (W) eggs. There should be a WIP version on PBE in terms of design, but we're still pushing color variations.

Problem isn't big. I'm more concerned about clarity and fear there could be situations that will lead to player's frustration. The thing is - in heat of teamfights there could be several issues: -miscalculation: opponents may feel that there are more Syndra spheres then actually are -wrong one: people may take Syndra spheres for Zyra "plants" (especially when covered by brush)

I totally agree, as does the team. We are working on design changes for the passive and (W). You'll see a WIP design on the PBE soon, but we're still working on differentiating the colors a bit more. I'm totally open to feedback regarding the shading/design, just keep in mind the actual hues will be changing, again, to make is distinct as to which egg is on the map/ensure they aren't 100% reading like Syndra orbs.

Nope, any similarity was pure coincidence. :o We'd discussed a few routes for what we could do for the death animation, and IIRC, a flower was considered, but we decided to take the route of her being brought back into the ground since she no longer has a zombie passive, and now simply dies. Sukishoo3 votesI've seen what they look like in-game myself on the PBE back-to-back and didn't find any issues.
Syndra's even as you can see in the images are a swirling ball of water. Zyra's "were" a clear dome-like egg now a more solidified egg. I still don't see them as being too similar to differentiate in-game. One is also popped up from the ground the other is splashed upon it, so there is a pretty clear idea of which is which.

PBE is kinda mixed bag of players. It's not competitive.
Sukishoo3 votesYes, I did and again I've played it on the PBE and had no issues telling the two apart. You don't need a competitive environment to test things and see how they work out. I for one don't even play ranked that heavily, so there's no point in bringing anything competitive into this.

Trust me there is a big difference between ranked and normals in terms of competition and skill. And even bigger competition on pro scene. Even pro players make mistakes. And it wouldn't be fun for pro players to be deceived by a skin. I mean if skin would give a gameplay advantage - it's not healthy.

Syndra's spheres are decently sized, plus they have all the various moving watery effects in/on them.
Zyra's plant seeds dragon eggs are pretty small plus very subtitle on texture and movement.

Did you know that you can become colorblind for a moment when brain needs to process more information? When you're in danger for example. Did you know that when you read your brain doesn't read whole word but rather start and end part and figures out meainng using memory and context. I want to say there will be subtle but still be confusion when these objects happen to be in one screen.
