Fixing the lore - General

Hi guys, if you are amongst those 10 people who actually care about the LoL lore... I just had an idea about how to fix it in general. And I am interested in your opinion - if it sounds good or if it's shiet and I should never post this :D But anyways I will give it a shot, and ofc Excusse my englis, pl0x :)

1. SUMMONERS Problem: since Institute of War was deleted, we - Sumoners - do not exist anymore. But champions talks to us, calls us Summoners, even the main map is called Summoenr's Rift.

Solution: ascend us to the godship! Make Summoners actual gods of people of Runeterra. Ethereal entities that some believe in, and some don't. Make us powerful rulers of the universe in the eyes of mortal folks of Runeterra, who either trembles before us, or stands proud in denial.

Lore: Everybody in Runeterra has heared about the Summoners. Powerful Gods from the ancient times, that created Runeterra and everything in it. Runeterrans were worshiping their gods for thousands of years, but then Gods stoped answering their calls and cries. So many thought powerful Summoners abandoned whole Runeterra and started to believe in their own skills. That nobody is watching over them, so they have to take care of themselves. But some still believe, still hold hope that one day Summoners will return and bring justice and peace amongst all creation in Runeterra.

2. NEVER-ENDING FIGHTS AND SUMMONER's RIFT MAP Problem: In each game 5 different champions fights 5 others. They play in one team despite the fact one is from Demacia, other from Noxus (since those factions hate each other) and such. Also there is no point in fighting since nothing is gained/lost from that fight (lorewise). And there are constant fights on map Summoner's Rift (and few others). That does not make sense.

Solution: Create never-ending war between Summoners, who wants to rise to prominence and power amongst other gods (Summoners). And Runeterrans are helping them by borrowing their own bides and minds to fight for them. And make it even looks like they are doing it for the greater good of whole Runeterra!

Lore: For thousands of years, people of Runeterra were split when it came to the belief in the Summoners. The ancient Gods that created everything. Some still believe in them, some do not. But one day, blind prophet came to the court of the Noxian aristocracy, talking about great disaster that is spreading accross the Runeterra. His visions were so vivid, it caught the eye of the Noxian royalty.

Old man was predicting grim future that results in the ultimate destruction of whole Runeterra. He was speaking of a place, in the middle of Runeterra (actually at the same spot where the old Institute of War was situated), that is suffering from the wrath of the Gods (Summoners). At first, nobody believed him, so he went to Demacia, with the same prophecy, and asked the King's court to intervene - go to that palce and try to make peace with Gods. As in Noxus, in Demacia as well nobody believed him. But soon warnings and alarming messages started to spread from that particular area. So Demacian army, lead by the prince Jarvan 4 himself, marched towards that corrupted place.

When they arrived at the destination point, they met with large number of Noxians, who went there to investigate for the same reason. After quick negotiation of temporary truce, both factions continued together to that very place - a piece of land with dense forrest and three roads connecting two strange crystal fountains at the end of each road. In there, strange things were happening. In one particular area, large monsters were battling amongst themselves. Double-headed wolves, angry Raptors, followed by large, monstrous, blue-shining golems fighting against giant toads and red tree-like bramblebacks. Followed by small, strange magical creatures with no concience (minions) In their wake. Only destruction and misery remained in the battlefield, that was slowly but certainly creating a great rift in the middle of Runterra continent. If this is not stoped, the whole continent may break and stop to exist at all. And poeple of Runeterra noticed something else as well. Anytime one of the monsters died - it was (after a while) respawned at the crystal fountain. Then they engaged again, and again, spreading the destruction along their seemingly never-ending battle.

Everybody realised that this will soon consume whole Runeterra and destroy everything living. They started to put together a plan how to stop this, when suddenly - old prophet had another vision. He saw Summoners battling in ever-lasting strife for supremacy. Using mindless monsters as their minions to prove their worth and strength to ascend the respective tiers of lesser and higher Gods. But as in real life, Summoners died in those battles, and new ones took their place in this never-ending fight, so again and again, new fights were breaking out each moment one of them stoped.

Then, leaders of each faction approached the prophet, asking him for the way out. He looked at them both with his glaring black eyes and said, that peace with Gods can be achieved, only by serving them in their own battle. He told them that Gods are willing to spare Runeterra, and use only certain parts of it (namely maps of LoL) for fighting their battles in exchange of the help of Runeterrans. Gods demanded the greatest, bravest and most intelligent of Runeterra warriors, to fight for them.

And so the pact with gods was made, sealed with blood of the two leaders of the most powerful nations.

Jarvan 4 and Swaine, immediately offered their bodies and souls to the Summoners, to prove their words. Gods were pleased, and as a sign of good will, raised the whole rift from the ground and elevated it into the sky. So form that day, form each place in Runeterra, this holy battleground will be visible, as to remind the people of how grateful should they be to the Gods (this should solve the problem of the new map which looks like a piece of land elevated above the ground).

The prophet then went all across the Runeterra, recruiting various characters to the holy war. Summoners granted him "the sight" to see the potential for the never-ending battle. He approached many people. Some joined for the glory and the pure thrill of the killing. Some joined to serve their own country, the others joined just to escape the hand of law. There are even some, holding grudge against each other, hoping for vengeance or redemption via fighting in these battles of Gods.

And as time went, warriors who sacrificed their own freedom and will for the greater good, became heroes amongst the common folk. In their eyes, these warriors were somewhat of a legends. Praised and worshiped by every living creature in Runeterra. They possess special privileges, which was the main reaoson for some questionable characters, to join the fray.

Just before the prophet died, he trained several acolytes, who got ritually blinded in exchange of gaining "the true sight" to spot a potentional champion of the gods (so now we have loerwise way why new champions can be introducted to the game - seers just finds them in any place of Runeterra). They went to different places in Runeterra, looking for new blood for the fight. They possessed power so great, that not even Shadow Island creatures dared to touch them.

After few years, these brave men, women and yordles became known as legendary warriors. Many songs were sang in their praise, and these heroes became legends. And all together they were the ultimate....

....League of Legends.

What do you think folks? Sounds ok or is it a pure BS?

I am a Summoner.

I want to win a date with Sona. Not snap my fingers and have her, in ev3rything soin, surrounding me because I'm image god.

Summoners were people. People who could live, love, die, despair. Bleed and heal. Making us gods affirms what Riot's Narrative Failpartment called us.

Don't ask for Summoners to be gods.

we prefer us as fallible people.

Create never-ending war between Summoners, who wants to rise to prominence and power amongst other gods (Summoners).

I think this is too on the nose. In the old lore, League of Legends wasn't about us - we were one half of a team that had purpose within the setting beyond our own whims. Ritualised trial by combat to settle disputes between nations is more interesting than "Players Summoners want to increase their ELO prominence".

...Why shouldn't Wukong and Ahri be friends? I'm confused.
