So I was thinking of Sion's lore (as always) and found an interesting connection to Elise.

Maybe other people have seen this, but I believe Elise is indirectly responsible for the state that Sion is in.

Elise goes to the Shadow Isles every so often to get her youth back. Often bringing sacrifices provided by the Black Rose. In return she must bring back an artifact from the Shadow Isles. Now it's possible that Elise could have brought back an "instruction manual" that details resurrection.

"But Ralanr, the Blessed Isles were against bringing the dead back. That's why the Ruined King ended up destroying it with his grief!"

You're correct. The Blessed Isles were against such acts, as well as many others. So much so that they basically had a storage house/prison filled with evil and dangerous artifacts that was guarded by Thresh when he was human.

Well what if the ritual was never perfected before it was confiscated? Or what if parts of it disappeared due to age (depending on whether it was written on paper).

Alternatively Sion's attempted resurrection could have been a failed imitation of Mordekaiser's resurrection. Noxus prime is built around his home after all.

Either way, I like to think that the Black Rose didn't have a full grasp in what they were dealing with. Leading to Sion's current state to be a result of a failure. Though they could have purposely made Sion like this. Who's to say Sion was liked or not a threat to the Black Rose?
