Could be a Pre-Thresh lore skin.
Similar to how Pre-Void Kassadin is supposed to be what Kassadin looked like before he was corrupted.
Heartseeker Lucian is how Lucian was before Senna was taken and Lucian was trying to win her heart.
Even if Lucian moved on, he wouldn't be a terrible person for doing so.
Also it's just a skin, it doesn't really reflect the lore.
Skins don't need to be lore friendly
