Jax and his power

So recently I've seen some "who is the strongest champ lore wise" discussions and my favorite champ JaxJax was nowhere to be seen(he'll get over itsummoner 7 )

Now maybe it's just because no one plays jax and they forgot him or maybe because people think he's just a guy with a lamp post but what if he actually did have a REAL WEAPON

Directly from his lore

"Jax proved himself to be an immediate terror in the Fields of Justice. The self-proclaimed Armsmaster of the League rattled off a streak of consecutive wins that to this day has not been matched."

Seems impressive let's take a look at what he had to go against back then in the top lane with a "real weapon"

Real weapons:swords,maces,axes,spears etc.

A big ass monster from another worldChogath

A 10 ft tall Egyptian god of deathNasus

and Satan himselfTeemo

Not to mention he might be one of the 5 darkin you know the race Aatrox isAatrox

What do you guys think he still sucks or he should be placed higher on lists if anyone has anything to share about Jax tell me in the comments below

Well, my personal problem with Jax is that we dont know nothing about him... literally.

His WHOLE lore is oriented around the "League of Legends" and the League does not exist anymore... So, All we can do is speculate about him... and even in his old lore, we was not powerful as champions that joined after him (Or ChoGath, Because the Cho that the summoners used was only a copy of the real one, using a part of his power (just like Baron))

Every champion is weakned by the Summoner's magic so their power is more or less the same. Jax's fighting skill is so great, when everyone is on evenish ground, he is number one, which is why he was the only champion to receive an extra restriction.

Otherwise you have people like Nasus losing to Garen while Teemo is laughing at bullet shots. The entire premisse of the pre-retcon plot does not work if every single champion is not being restricted/held back somehow.

Mordekaiser is a great example, his lore says that anyone next to him will suffer from uncurable illnesses. Or how Maokai could 1v6 in his original lore while Kayle had the power to shield the entire audience.

From a kit perspective, Jax is not very powerful, he is skilled and would utterly curbstomp everyone that isnt significantly more powerful than himself. Theres a huge difference.

Not to mention, several new champions were released after Jax, and we all know Riot is way too god damn lazy to update their lore (Singed is still Warwick's apprentice).

The thing is that it was implied that jax continued his winning streak even after he was forced to use the lamppost, which sounds to me like it doesn't make a difference for jax if he is using a lamppost or a sword, his overall strenght would remain the same.

Jax is literally OP in pre-retcon lore. So, would he still be OP in his post-retcon lore?

Find out next time when Riot updates!
