OMG, the way I read, it's Zed had a baby that's now dead. That should be sad, but It's the most hilarious thing ever if I'm honest XD

I feel like this is depicting a critical moment in Zed's lore, where he saw what was in the box.

I feel like there's some Zed lore approaching with Shen's upcoming visual update.

I feel many things, but I'm not 100% certain about this. It's...intriguing.

This could mean whatever was in the box might be starting to consume Zed and some people like Syndra or the Kinkou might try and stop that.

at first I thought that was zed. looking closer, isn't that his living shadow? also, I suspect that zed has been dead a long time. his cry out in pain in his lore was probably him being killed.

I think we're forgetting to account for Zeds death animation, I mean in game you never see him die. He kinda just snaps his fingers, a black hole appears, and he falls into it. Maybe he can elude death?

If you look at it you will actually see that the body is dissolving into shadow, which points to it only being a shadow and not really himself. However if you enlarge the picture you can see that it is actually a cherry blossom tree sprouting from the eye of his mask, and from his neck as well. This points to a more symbolic idea, what exactly I do not know.

I would like to hear other people's thoughts on this.

Blessed Isle's vault (before Shadow Isle) is very much in correlation with Kinkou Order's purpose, ideologically. In the story of Shadow Isle character it does already state 'the order' about the Blessed Isle.

Zed the Master of Shadows; the Shadow Isles. Shadow as synonym of Death; 'deadeye' teaser.

I think it's just a story & lore overhaul. A spiritual swap between Shen and Zed. Shen's update may be more clear now: It's personal between Shen and Zed. Zed 1st Impression: The bad guy. Zed 2nd Impression: The sad guy.

  • Zed killed his master.
  • Zed defied Kinkou. (selfishly, ambitiously, shadow-schitzophrenia)
  • Zed upset Shen: made a monster out of his brother. (Shen's Hate)
  • Zed knows. In new lore: did he want this to happen? (Zed's Love)

I must say that new champions is not going to keep players in LoL. I've played over a year of LoL and Kindred, Illaoi and this new champion tease will not bring me back. It's not new champions; it's the game systems and game's design that is repulsive.
