What if we got an Ionian update? Who is likely to be involved?
The story behind the Vastaya alone gives a lot of potential for certain champions and Ionia. If/when we get a Noxus update, Ionia (I hope) will most likely be next.

They would need to include soraka in a lore update because her lore makes no sense after the 
rework
Well now with the Vastaya lore I'd say it is safe to say that

would get a lore update(if they don't get one already with the release of Rakan and Xayah)
Aside from that the most likely candidates seem to be:
as he is one of the oldest and most iconic ionia champs(also those goggles need a new explanation now)
as the removal of summoners affected his lore and we are currently in the dark about him(also he has a colortext already so they only need to make a bio)
I don't know when this was said,but I remember a rioter talking about how they have something planned for Varus
one of the most central champs of Ionia
since Shen got a lore update with his VGU it would only be fitting to update him as well,especially since he is involved with jhins lore too
Well her lore makes no sense and it was said that her lore will be updated sooner than later,so I'd say she has the best chance to get an updated lore.
And the less likely are:
She is on the list for a VGU,so they might wait with a lore update until she gets said update.
is on the VGU list as well
might not get an update until we got a bandle city update
his lore isn't that outdated and we know from the story with Taliyah that it is still canon.
the least likely champ to get an update as he has already a lore that matches the current standards(though hopefully they add Part2-4 of his lore to his universe page,because that is still missing for some reason)
And I see 
as a champ who is between these 2 groups,as there isn't anything that speaks against a lore update for her,but there isn't much that speaks for one either.
Depends on who's story is being told really.
Ionia (I think) has the most champions in league and is actually less united because of it. You got the ninja story line, Yasuo's story, Riven's story, the government (Karma and Irelia probably) story, Syndra's story, Lee Sin, Master Yi, Varus, and now the Vastaya.
Not to say that other factions don't have a lot of stories, but they feel more connected with each other than Ionia imo. Even if Jhin's story connects to government, it's more important to the ninja story than it is to government.
If they do an Ionia lore update, it'll probably focus more on the Vastaya at the moment then groups like the ninjas.
