And think about it. If the plague rat had never shown up, she never would have met Yasuo. Hell, she would have starved to death. Whatever Twitch was doing in Ionia, who knows, but one thing for sure is he saved Taliyah's life. However, I feel like Riot hasn't done enough to give the plague rat the spotlight for all of his hard work. So here's a dialogue I made.

The culprit, a gray handful of fur no bigger than herself leaped out from among a mound of snow, rolling furiously and creating snow angels. The stench that accompanied it hit her immediately, and she almost retched. Reactively, she backed away, scrunching up her face and turning away. The rat noticed this.

"Why, what are you doing in my territory?" Taliyah, after finishing her initial flinching, was surprised. She had never seen a rodent this large, or even heard one speak. But either this was a figment of her imagination or she had come across a gift from the Great Weaver. She studied the rat intensely, not saying anything. The rat decided to continue the conversation by himself. "I see, you must be lost. Any place within the odor of my feces splattered on my fur is my territory, and you must not have known that. I'll let you off the hook this time. How's that sound?"

But Taliyah had already made up her mind. Great Weaver, she thought, I did say I'd take a 4 foot tall rat. Thank you. She started walking up to the rat slowly, as to avoid startling him. She had a knife concealed behind her back, with one arm up to symbolize peace. The rat was not fooled, however. "Haven't you heard of personal space? Back off!" But Taliyah was not one to listen in the face of desperation.

"You're lucky I lost my crossbow in that river, else I would shoot you!" The plague rat was starting to look nervous, backing away slowly from the approaching figure. Taliyah stopped, and Tiwtch did as well. She raised a hand, entrapping the rat inside a ring of stone. Twitch exclaimed, "YOU MUST BE RELATIVES WITH THAT JARVAN JERK! LET ME OUT AND MAYBE I WON'T GNAW YOUR ARM OFF!"

As she walked along the path,, through the sparse pines, Taliyah saw a man in the shrine, and her breath caught. His wild, dark hair tangled in the wind as he sat, head bowed to his chest. He was either sleeping or meditating. She placed a hand on his shoulder, and the man leaped to his feet suddenly, slurring something about the bloodlust of a warlord. Then, seeing the young traveler, he relaxed a bit. She smiled and gestured to the bloodied make-shift bag she was dragging.

"Could you help me start a fire? I just came back from hunting."
