The important ancient events we know so far + lore headcanon
This is how I think it happened chronologically.
-
Lissandra, Avarosa, and Serylda served as the highest Iceborn commanders for the Frozen Watchers. Lissandra was personally indebted to the Watchers for the restoration of her sight.
-
Avarosa and Serylda launched their coup against the Watchers.
-
Gnar fought off an attacker (possibly a Frozen Watcher) from his family through his transformation into his Mega form. Anivia saw his potential, and kept him in cyro-stasis until he is needed to stop the Watchers.
-
The Iceborn Revolt succeeded, resulting in the defeat of the Watchers at the Howling Abyss. However, Lissandra survived the war, and claimed vengeance upon her traitorous sisters. For the next long centuries, Lissandra utilized murder and deception to take over the Frost Guard tribe and manipulate the remaining Freljord tribes.
-
Aatrox's race, the Darkin civilization flourished.
-
The people of Icathia dabbled in Void magic, resulting in the disappearance of the Icathians and the city itself. Icathia became a mythical location, much like the story of Atlantis. What remains of the city became a warped, madness-inducing husk which would be discovered by Malzahar and Kassadin.
-
The Voidborn emerged in Shurima and began to terrorize its denizens
-
Shurima grew into a mighty land empire through the power of Ascension. The ritual transforms warriors into anthropomorphic animals with with divine strength, size and power. The Shurimans used this legendary technique to stave off the Voidborn infestations and conquer vast territories.
-
The Shuriman Empire collapsed within a century after the capital is destroyed by Azir's corrupted Ascension. After using the fallen Emperor's Ascension energy, Xerath ascended to the form of an energy being. He was imprisoned inside a cave alongside Renekton, who was his warden.
-
Among the Voidborn in Shurima, Rek'Sai established herself as the alpha female/queen of the Rek species in the Sai desert.
-
Solari (Sun) and Lunari (Moon) cults were established in the city-state of Mt. Targon.
-
A violent religious reformation occurs at Mt. Targon, resulting in the Lunari being wiped out and the Solari becoming the state religion of Mt. Targon. Lunari history was erased from the main archives at Mt. Targon.
-
Surviving Lunari libraries would be re-discovered by Diana, a Solari acolyte.
-
The Master of Metal, Mordekaiser, ruled the future land of Noxus with an iron fist. He was killed for the first time during a massive battle against an alliance of his enemies.
-
He was cremated in his armour. His enemies were confident that the Tin Tyrant was destroyed, but as the popular adage suggested, "they could not kill the Metal".
-
Mordekaiser was reborn as the Iron Revenant and reigned for centuries. Although he was slain multiple times during his reign, he would always return to power due to his cabal of faithful necromancers.
-
Mordekaiser's endless reign was put to end when his skull was stolen by a thief. After he was killed once again, his liches could not be brought back their master until his skeleton was complete.
-
The Iron Revenant's skull was given to the custody of human Thresh.
-
The Forgotten Empire that Kalista and Hecarim served in, was established.
-
Hecarim betrayed and killed Kalista.
-
The King of the Forgotten Empire unleashes the** Black Mist**, which killed the living and raised the dead. Noteworthy individuals who were transformed were Yorick, Thresh, Kalista, Kalista and Hecarim. The Blessed Isles is transformed into the Shadow Isles.
-
Mordekaiser is resurrected by his liches and begins his reign of the Shadow Isles.
-
Magelords vs. the Protectorate. Earliest known record of Aatrox intervening on a human conflict. He fights on the Protectorate's behalf, leading to the Protectorate's victory. The Protectorate army marches forth to cause havoc in further parts of Valoran.
-
The Grand General of Noxus, Boram Darkwill, allied himself with the ** Black Rose** Organization.
-
Jarvan the Conqueror waged his great war against the Republic of Noxus. He nearly wins the conflict when the Demacians besiege Noxus' capital.
-
Darkwill sends Sion to lead the last stand against the Demacian army. Sion goes on a suicide mission and successfully kills Jarvan despite his fatal wounds he suffered from the Demacian king and his soldiers. Through Sion's sacrifice, Noxus achieved a Pyrrhic victory.
-
Sion is resurrected through arcane magic from the Black Rose organization and necromancy from the Shadow Isles. In addition, Darkwill gains immortality, allowing him to rule Noxus without the fear of dying.
-
Sion is used as an Undead war machine against Demacia.
-
Sion and Galio encounter each other several times in battle, sparking their bitter rivalry.
-
Sion was captured, paraded through Demacia's streets as a prisoner of war, and promptly executed.
-
Sion is eventually euthanized on the orders of Darkwill because the Undead Juggernaut was deemed too dangerous and uncontrollable.
-
The** Black Rose** Organization disappears after Sion was put to rest. Given how cutthroat Noxian politics are, it was likely that Darkwill had the **Black Rose **destroyed due to his paranoia.
-
Unbeknownst to Darkwill and the Noxian High command, not all of the Black Rose was killed.
-
The remnant went underground to wait for an opportunity to return to power. Their opportunity would come when the military upstart, Jericho Swain, became a member.
-
Jericho Swain quickly rises through ranks in the Noxian military.
-
Dread Pirate Vincent the Shadow has a son, Gangplank.
-
Gangplank learned all he could from his father. At age 18, GP killed Vincent and inherited control of Bilgewater.
-
Gangplank stole the Leviathan, Swain's prized battleship.
-
Prior to the Ionian Invasion, Swain was suddenly relegated to an inactive duty. Likely due to bureaucratic pressure from Darkwill and the Noxian High Command.
-
Noxus invaded the southern regions of Ionia to establish new colonies. Zaun assisted the Noxians with technology and mercenaries.
-
Gangplank stole a valuable crimson knife from Zed, the Master of Shadows.
-
Gangplank was seemingly killed in a coup by Miss Fortune. His ship, the Deadpool, and the crew aboard were destroyed. After surviving the explosion, Gangplank has a mechanical replacement for one of his arms.
-
Bilgewater was consumed by civil strife. Pirate gangs fought for control while MF's crew tried to establish order in the now chaotic city-state.
Annual Events: The Harrowing sweeps through Bilgewater annually. Illaoi's patron goddess, Nagakabouros protects the island city-state from becoming a permanent graveyard and buffer zone for the Shadow Isles. It is unknown if the Black Mist also attacks other city-states.
Lunar Revel holiday occurs in Ionia as the start of every new year. Festivals are held across the city-state.
Snowdown is the general winter celebration across Valoran.
and died of most likely old age so that is complete false. Also I'm pretty sure Magelord vs Protectorate is after Mordkaiser and Ruin King. People don't just forget a entire kingdom with a span of a few centuries when they have written record of thing before that.
