Have you noticed how spidery her hands are?

This arts is genius because it builds on seemingly conflicting primal emotions to convey the character's personality. Looking at it, I feel attraction towards the near-naked succubus, existential dread at the withered face of her victim and a very mundane, yet uncanny fear towards the way her hands are painted, like a pair of spiders standing above their prey.

I love the way the art plays on the ideas we associate with these three concepts to subtly express all the design work and ideas Eve's team has been building for months.

Riot just keeps getting better.

Actually Elises claws are pretty much the same as Eves,its just that we never got a picture where they are that detailed.

Also her spider form does trigger arachnophobia for some(heck she was designed by a person with arachnophobia specifically to trigger it)

Considering her color scheme, if she is associated with the SI, she might be in a similar position as Elise.

But, I would find it more likely that she's independent, and has become a special entity in the same vein as Kindred and Bard.

I still think she's going to be a demon. And we know demons are created by human emotions and stuff, so its possible Eve was created by the suffering caused by the Ruination.

Well, in the legends of succubi, repeated encounters with one lead to deterioration and death.

The "huge mix up" is probably intentional. Each little bit of information is a part of her character; while retaining the mysterious nature she has.

to be more precise that was really really long ago that the legends succubi acting like that, and rarely did it result in death, most often it was just deteriorated health or mental state.

The strong emphasis on "death because of sex/interaction with" didn't come till much later when succubi were made to be corporeal instead of ethereal/dream invaders and was more developed because of story/novel writers instead of people actually believing these demons existed

Not exactly: sucubbi are supposed to kill men by having lots of sex with them since XV century demonology.

Id love to see your sources, because the earliest I can find is in the 1800's when (by my studies) it was first mentioned that way and its wasnt even popularized until later 1900's to view it that way due to novels and other forms of literature

Odd part is, the notion of the "spirit spouse" or a spirit that has intercourse with corporeal humans appears in a lot of mythology all around the world. Usually in association with a shaman or some similar kind of role. Western civilization though only inherited the more negative and frightening mythology from Mesopotamia. What I think would be interesting would be if in the future, is if a champ was released that was some kind of Support.

I dunno, she has the teeth and color scheme going for her, and the way the dead guy looks drained is very vampire-ish looking too.

Her back is very reminiscent of elise's human form too though, and some spiders have been known to suck their victims bodies dry of fluids.

A lot of things going on there.

I don't know why people are complaining saying they ruined her visuals. She looks way better than before and still looks really similiar to old eve, just new colors. People also like to talk down on her even though we know nothing about her new lore if there is any, just be patient dudes this rework is looking warwick level so far!

Full VGUs usually include a lore update (Galio, Poppy, Urgot, etc), thought since Eve already has a decent enough color story, I imagine hers will be an expansion rather than a major change. At least, I hope so. I like Eve as this wandering ultra-skilled assassin who demands more from her clients than simple cash. If she's also a demon who enjoys causing pain (see Vayne's lore) that's even better. It implies she does this work because she enjoys it.

The black stuff covering her reminds me of the black mist of the shadow isles, so it's very possible she was once human and corrupted into what she is now by the mist. If they keep her association with the isles (which they should, imo) I'm curious to see what she thinks of, say, Yorick or Elise.

I could see Eve being something that was trapped in Thresh's vault and got out when the Ruination occurred. Maybe she even had a part in causing it, as we know the magical artifacts of the vault fueled the Ruined King's spell.

I can tell her passive will make the mist just wrap around her fully when she goes camo. It'll look so fucking amazing if it has VFX like that. I also agree about how it looks like mist and I hope she gets more iterated into being shadow isles instead of just being someone from there with no affiliation of it. I like this new shadow isle theme more with yorick and eve, they look like they belong there now instead of it just being dead or scary looking = from shadow isle.
