Why is Kog'Maw getting a Hextech skin...?

He already has Battlecast Kog'Maw if you want to see the Mouth of the Void as a machine monster. And correct me if I'm wrong (and I might be), but wasn't the Hextech series of skins supposed to be diametrically opposed to the Battlecast series (or was that the Program series?)? Isn't this skin not only more or less thematically redundant, but also thematically inverted? It'd be like if they gave Tristana a Dragon Hunter skin despite the fact she already has a Dragon TAMER skin. Not seeing why this particular champ has been lined up for this particular skin, rather than, say, Ivern or Ornn.

Hextech and Battlecast are different skinlines

Not enemies as such. I think Fullmetal and Pulsefire were originally meant to be the opposing force?

Hextech is just that- Champions from other regions reimagined as being made from (or augmented by) Piltover hextech stuff.

Battlecast really isn't Piltover OR Zaun style. It is its own thing.

Because there are different styles of robot, just like there are different kinds of biological creatures or costumes.

Also it would suck if the first skin for Ivern or Ornn would be hextech exclusive...
