"Eyes of Noxus is always watching" - 6 years of nothing happening between Talon and Swain/LeBlanc

So I'm referring to Talon's teaser comic all those years ago.

In the final panel, there is 's raven Beatrice, and some roses and thorns, which alludes to

So, from the comic, and from Talon's own motives, you'd think the suggestion is that Talon would eventually come into conflict with either of those two right?

Except nothing comes out of this. Even within the JoJ, Talon never once actually does anything involving them. Heck, Vayne at least, was mentioned to be a nuisance in relation to LeBlanc in one of the reader's letters.

So Talon had not once throughout his hunt for DuCouteau or his abductors, not once put two-and-two together and thought maybe Swain was involved? Or that the shady matron of the Black Rose was involved?

Was this a scrapped plotline or something? It seems like such a prominent hint that Swain or LeBlanc would at least be bothered by Talon doing his snooping, but turns out they both ignored he exists too, or that Talon was really, really bad at being a detective.

The only time Talon and Swain are even shown to be in the same room is when Swain got promoted to Grand General, and Talon and Katarina are looking on from the side.

So is there any possible link/conflict between these three, like the old comic suggested, that would be in the 'new lore' once Swain's VGU hits? Or it's just a hint that didn't really have a follow-up.
