hey guys, (talking about the JoJ) in the old lore j4 had a girlfriend of some sort? But during his 2 and a half years of the mysterious journey he vanished, so did he actually get rid of her? In the JoJ it hints that he had a relationship with some woman, perhaps some noble woman but when the interviewer asked in details about what happened to her, j4 did not respond. Could this mean, he got rid of her? Killed? Dropped off in the wilderness? Considering he was gone for 2 and a half years following that relationship and no one heard of this woman again.

It begs the question how much that information is relevant in the new canon.

The big theory for that back in the Lore Discussion Forum days was that it was because of the whole "LeBlanc is Jarvan IV, the real Jarvan IV is dead/kidnapped" theory.

His girlfriend likely would have noticed he was different, so "Jarvan" found a way to get rid of her. That plotline never really got followed up on though, so it's a big question mark now.
