Should there be a Demon Champion who is moreorless a slaver?

I know the idea of creating a Champion who enslaves others would be dicey, but I feel it's a necessary evil to show that Runeterra is a rather dark place. Making a Demon who is basically a slaver would be a more appropriate angle, IMO, since you'd expect that kind of evil out of a demon.

Would this help to expand the dark side of the lore, or would this be the same as the "no skeletons" rule?

I think you're going to have to wait for Mordekaiser's eventual rework as Domination and Enslavement are pretty core to his theme. His kit is unfortunately quite a mess right now so hopefully he'll get in the update schedule sometime soon after Akali and Nunu.

I actually would not have him retain his current ultimate in any sort of rework, as it eats up far too much of his power budget due to how game-breaking it can be in the right hands. I'd personally just rework him to take a few notes from, say, Leoric in HotS. March of the Black King could be a great ultimate for Mordekaiser to have.

I mean, your OP asked about the possibility of there being a character centered around the idea of enslaving others. Mordekaiser is very obviously the character attached to that theme. I highly doubt his ultimate will remain the same considering the plethora of bugs it creates, but I'm sure there are other ways to adequately convey the idea of subjugating an opponent in League that Riot can cook-up for his VGU.

the "no skeleton" rule applies to humanoid beings (karthus is a good example, he is not pure bones.), so you could get around that depending on what u have in mind for looks.

"slaver" however could get dangerously close to Thresh's thematic.

What kind of gameplay would such a character have? We already have multiple minion-mancers, and aside from that I don't see much opportunity or reason for a slaver champion. If it's just being made for the sake of having a slaver champion in the roster and no other reasons then it would be pretty lackluster IMO.

At least one thing I'd have in it is some sort of Mind Control effect. I'd have it be similar to Sylvanas' version in HotS, where it lets her take control of an enemy's movement, but they can't attack, use abilities, or perform other actions. It also requires her to channel, so she can get interrupted easily. It's main purpose is to force an enemy into a bad position, but isn't helpful when she's one-on-one.

That honestly sounds pretty cool. But how does that connect to a slaver? If they have to constantly focus to control one person then it wouldn't be as useful for slaving where they would be dealing with many subjects.

I think it would be really cool still, I'm just not sure that 'slaver' is the best thematic for that ability idea.
