To be honest, I want to be excited, but it's difficult. Not because I think they won't deliver, but because (despite somewhat calming reassurances from Jaredan and company) I'm not yet convinced that they've kicked their "blank slate rewrite" habit. There are a considerable number of characters and settings that have been rebooted more times than they've been otherwise written about.
My LoL lore nightmares involve opening up the League site to find a well-made video and tens of thousands of dollars of other pretty art all wrapped around a revelation that Demacia is now underwater or Jarvan killed Poppy's father or that Ionians and Piltovians have never met. To be perfectly honest, I thought the JoJ was kind of weak most of the time, but I was never scared to see them release a new JoJ issue.
But hope springs eternal. Unlike a cupcake trap, which only springs once per yordle. (But it's enough.)
