Saw this in the loading screen. Where is this lore? I want to read all about this. What in Demacia are 'Chem-Barons'? That sounds amazing!

Because chemicals in Zaun are very vast, they are sent to other nations for a profit. "Chem-barons" is their way of saying someone of high political and financial influence.
Because they aren't necessarily royalty, I would assume each Chem-baron own their own company which manages a large section of the city.
Think of it this way: There are only 10 companies, I repeat, 10 companies that own all of America's food brands. These 10 companies work together to push out any possible competition, so they can hold power and control. With that being said, while they all want to one-up each other, they loosely cooperate purely on the ground of keeping an upstart from lessening their profits.
IDK how old that quote is, it could be from ages ago or it could be new as this is the first I've seen it. But I would say it's just a generalised statement about Zaun. I don't think there's lore (yet) specifically around that quote but it could be a teaser?

YES! I know exactly how you feel, dude. I even tried to take a screen shot of the loading screen when I saw it. It was so gangster to read about, I hope they take the story of zaun and flesh it out a bunch. I wonder if zac and ekko get to be buddies or enemies.

Oh I thought Chem-Barons were like giant elemental enhanced barons akin to the new dragon... and that they lived in moats around Zaun and just scared the crap out off intruders... ha jk guys that would be stupid right? AM I RIGHT?
