It won't be the same Gangplank. It would be someone else who took up his name.

I have the feeling that 'Gangplank' isn't even his name, but his code name that his father Vincent designated to him and made him believe that it's his name all along. In other words, this opens up about chances of someone else taking the legacy of Gangplank, and thus his gameplay and stuffs, without reviving the old Gangplank.

As of looks... well maybe the new Gangplank have been quite stinkin' rich enough to effort a plastic surgery to make him look like GP?

The lore has to work with the game. Rito recently gave Gangplank a vu, so I don't think some other person is going to pick up his mantle, simply because no one in their right mind would approve the replacement of a reworked character. But nice thoughts on the possiblities; Rito's been trying a lot of new stuff so to an extent what could happen could be unprecedented. :P

But I like the idea of Gangplank being an idea rather than an actual person, especially because he has such a strong ideology based on strength and leadership through fear.
