Their stories are simply... nothing. Can't use them after the League was retconned out. We don't even have a brief summary to go with.

I think the reason is because it is more effective to update their ingame appearance and skillset together with their lore.
If they give them a lore update now they would need to work with the current visuals,abilities and personalities of the champs and considering how much VGUs can change nowadays I'd say that could be rather limiting for the lore. Likewise their updated lore would also be limiting for future VGUs.
If Morganas lore makes a huge plot point about her being unable to fly,then her future VGU cannot include functioning wings. If the lore makes a big point about Morganas black shield not being able to block physical attacks and then her VGU changes it into actually blocking physical blows as well,then that would seem really odd in the lore.
I'd rather them not, at least they haven't butchered Kayle like they did to Leona.

Personally, I want league to fix morgana's in game voice lines.
Her lore makes her out to be someone who in her mind is fighting against the corruption of her government, and is branded a traitor for it. Yes the lore does note that she uses forbidden magic to help her cause, but this is her view of what she is doing.
In game, she talks like a typical villian with lines like "Not all anger's are good." If she is supposed to see herself as the saviour of her kind, why doesn't she talk like it?
I feel like all those champs that got their lore killed from the removel of the League should get at least a little "teaser lore" which hints to the actual lore they will get, it really saddens me that some awesome champs have literally a lore of 2-3 sentences which say almost nothing about the champion itself. Instead of waiting for a full VGU give them at least something T_T

I'm just here wondering just what they're going to do with them when they do finally get an updated lore. They're probably gonna get rid of the whole "from another world" angle, considering they got rid of it for Taric. But I don't know what they're going to replace it with. Perhaps turning them into religious figures, like I saw someone else suggest once?
Well there's a lot of champions with basically no lore right now, as they work to fill that out. Kayle and Morgana are 2 champs they'd probably want to rework when they're doing the lore.

I hope they would get a VGU for their lore and such because their ingame quotes don't necessarily correlate to their rivalry and Morgana does not sound like a leader of some kind rebellion against the righteous hierarchy.
