Noxus emblem for comparison. It's an axe (preferred weapon of Noxian heroes?) but also a bit like this dragon, yeah.

No, you got the flow of things reversed. The dragon's horns are pointed to the back (even though that's not how horns work) and how it's stylized looks a bit like an axe. The Noxus symbol is also based on an axe.

But that's kind of cool anyway, so let's go with that. Fan ret-con.

The faction emblems existed long before the dragon symbols come so the elder dragon symbol is inspired by noxus emblem
