Just look into the southern more island in the ionian archipelago. Just south of Pallas.

The whole idea is that it is showing us the known/potential Yordle Portals that are spread around Runeterra. Each time you refresh the map you can find a new portal.
I'm sure from the locations we could also make theories as to how these portals open. Teemo is shown in one of the pictures to be magically stacking rocks or something, and another image depicts that the tides determine if a portal opens or not.
It changed every time you open the map :)

Ok but When do they release the Ryze short? They said They will release it alongside the map. Don't get me wrong I'm as hyped about the map as everyone else
