Really happy to see Urgot and Galio appear, the rest are alright. Interesting how the scenes with Vi, Cait and Urgot as well as the one with Garen, Lux and Sylas are things that have been happening recently in the lore while the one with Ez and Kai'sa is something we haven't seen/read before.
Wonder if that means we'll get a short story where Ezreal and Kai'sa interact soon.
Also rito pls Panth vs Aatrox in a cinematic that shit would be lit.
Vi FINALLY getting the recognition she deserves.

Wow...I got chills running down my spine from this. Warriors was such a amazing song... But I have a major complain as well...Garen! Come on Riot! Garen, one of the strongest (if not the strongest) warrior in Demacia, who we have seen break through Noxian lines, hundreds of them like they were nothing, the same guy that was able to move a giant statue like it was nothing, taking one punch from Sylas and flying to the other side of the place...come on! Sylas doesn't have any magic to affect his melee capabilities and even if he had, he shouldn't be able to take on Garen 1 on 1. And again, in the last scene in the Frejlord, has Lux done any good by calling Galio into the fight? Galio is a petricite golem and since his creation, he has been in countless fights and what does Sylas do best? Absorb magic from any surface meaning that just by a touch, Sylas could potentialy absorb all the magic that Galio has absorbed in all those ages and since so far we have not seen Sylas being overcharged by magic, he would literally be unstoppable (and as a side note...Garen really has to get a new sword to carry on such missions..) And another thing. Demacian soldiers have been fighting Barbarians from the Frejlord since forever so I also have doubts on how these barbarians would be able to put up a fight with the elite trained Demacian soldiers. But again, amazing video with amazing artwork If only the game was half as good...
Piltovers finest <3

and no yasuo trash or ahri. nice fights and cool animations!
riot in a nutshell: our balance team smokes funny things, our client is trash, but hey! atleast the art teams are amazing!
More ezreal Lux content. Really spicing it up riot [zombie-nunu-bummed]
That cinematic was amazing and I love that lore is moving forward. It's gonna take a while to decompress it all.
Before he even came on screen, when I saw the iceball hit Demacian walls I said outloud "Yes, it's Freljordian Sylas!!!" Forming Garen's sword was a great touch from lore that most average League players may not realize is possible. Summoning Galio and finally seeing his full size was just the best thing ever. Next time a Galio ults me in game, I'm gonna have a different perspective. The only thing that confused me with that part was that Lux was there given I thought she was basically in self-exile after Sylas' escaped at the end of her comic line. And she used her magic in front of all those Demacian soldiers? I appreciated her not using magic until absolutely forced to which fit her well developed character precisely along with her connection to Galio. Will we maybe get a story detailing this event or explaining why Lux was there and used her magic? I guess we could argue that it's not totally canon because Urgot gets kinda wrecked by Vi and Cait, but I guess if he was rebuilt once he can be again.
Speaking of Vi and Caitlyn, wow what a well done sequence. Urgot looked more terrifying than ever and the buzzsaw was just the icing on the cake. I loved how they really put the different abilities into the cinematic when they easily could have not and just had Vi punching with Cait blasting. But no, we got the net from Cait, we saw Vi's slight dash forward for the first punch, we got an Ace in the Hole (that missed...), and a blast canon shot from Urgot to utterly destroy Vi's gauntlet. The duo of Cait and Vi showed through beautifully and we got to see exactly how they work together to bring down crime in Piltover. I am giddy to see the animated series now to see more Vi and hopefully Cait.
My favourite part was, of course, with the awesome freelo explorer finally getting to shine in a cinematic (I don't think he's been in one before?). I loved the way that they showed what his abilities look like and his movements really fit how his playstyle feels. It was very well done showcasing his character too and how I always have interpreted him. He's a selfish kind of guy that treasure hunts and explores for personal glory on the outside, but deep down he'll do the right thing and does care about others. Kai'sa saved his butt and he had every chance to run away and was about to, but he went back to help her out and return the favour. My gosh I really want Riot to decompress Ezreal's lore and character further.
On that note, Kai'sa also was about how I'd expect her. Very non-emotional, "let's take care of business" like, relentlessly fighting the void and just doing her duty, expecting others to do the same as seen by the little "alright, let's do this" head nod. Her abilities looked awesome and way more powerful and explosive than I guess I originally imagined. Where she came from given this was an underground shrine thing? Good question. Can we get her and Ezreal in a story together discussing/fighting the Void in Shurima? Yes please.
There are a lot of questions opened by the cinematic, but I found it thoroughly enjoyable and now really want more cinematics or series to move forward the lore. There's so much potential as this showcased.
THIS WAS SO GOOD UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HYPE! Kai’sa was great! These cinematics are top notch. What I wouldn’t give for another 5 seconds after Lux and Gallo appear
I've always wanted to see
and
interact as they are both tied to Shurima, although I never expected it to come in the format of a cinematic.
The Zaun and Demacia parts were awesome to see as they directly reference the lore for once.
No Targon in this cinematic but maybe next time.
This appears to be a "yeah this is gonna happen later" like Awaken, but two out of three of these stories were set up more clearly than any of the events in Awaken (where only Camille versus Jhin could have possibly happened in the near future).
We're getting active setup for Lux/Garen/Galio vs Sylas and Cait/Vi vs Urgot right now. And Ezreal and Kai'Sa meeting is... not implausible and not nearly as cataclysmic an event as a second Noxian incursion into Ionia or Riven coming home.
Good remix, good stories. Excited to see where these go.
I was kinda expecting to see Viktor, Rengar, Ashe and Azir too based on the Teaser images.
Continuing the story going on in Shurima, even if only for a bit, would have been great, even more because we haven't seen any continuation to that video of Taliyah facing Xerath yet, even when Yasuo and Lucian, from that same video, already got their stories advanced
Besides, the video is quite cool, gj Riot
When Awaken came out people in SA&S were like "OmG it's meant to be canonical! 2nd Ionia Invasion, Riven returns to Noxus, Camille tracking Jhin." and yet none of it has been tied into the canon. Then there's this amazing cinematic that actually does the job of homaging to things which happened in lore.
I rate it 10/10 just because you didn't made another
cinematic this time.
##########But dat Urgot doe, hot damn
Galio, Vi, and Urgot totally stole the show.
They should get more of these less known champions over the mainstream shit Lux, Ezreal, and Kaisa are. It isn't like they don't get a new skin every month but I really don't wanna see any more of these popular champs especially Lux because I am piss tired of her at this point.
Next cinematic I hope they show us more of Galio and Sion.
OH MY GOD. That video seriously left me with my jaw on the floor, and I still have that feeling of child-like excitement with every watch! Kudos, and great work everyone!
Looks really nice, though there are some things that feel a bit odd here: 1.Sylas suddenly creates a magic sword in his hand, where did he get that ability(granted he might have gotten it offscreen)? Also Galio being alive should be a huge shock for most demacians(though at least Lux knows that he is alive, so it makes sense that she called him like that).
2.Honestly I can't imagine Urgot getting defeated by a punch to the face from Vi, so the question remains of what happens afterwards.
3.Kai'sa not putting her helmet back up really irritated me. I know its a common way to give us a face and thus identify more with her and normally I'm ok with that, but its odd how she puts her helmet down(understandable since she wants Ezreal to understand that she is a human) and then doesn't put it up again when she dives into the enemies. I do like her design more in this cinematic though, it looks more tough and less sexy, which is what I always wanted from Kai'sa.
pretty sure Urgot will recover from that that punch lol. also, was not expecting Galio
I loved the Ezreal and Kai'SA co-op.
It's a huge character developement for both characters. Ezreal not being a coward and actually faced the problems he caused after stealing tear of godess and Kai'Sa for having a person to actually save her after saving them.
Ezreal was human enough to understand that undernearth that suit, Kai'Sa is a human like him, and honestly I loved the winking and the moment when they teamed up to blast those damn voidlings.
Anyone else notice that Urgot doesn't have his shotgun knees? Obviously why he lost that fight. Can't fight properly without shotgun knees.
On a serious note, I wouldn't mind if occasionally the bad guys won in these cinematics. They kinda made Urgot look pathetic both in Child of Zaun and in this cinematic. Sure he got some good shots off that destroyed Vi's gauntlet, caused her to sacrifice the other and blew up a bridge, but as soon as he takes one bullet to the leg (not sure how that even brought him down) he's out of the fight.
I'd love to see this fight end with Vi and Caitlyn at Urgot's mercy as he lets them live because he sees them as worthy, and has a plan for them.
