By lore I mean cities and the world like Noxus and more 
Shurima! I know fans are angry and dread retcons, while Reds are scared/busy and want to wait to reveal details, but I'd love to learn about the little details of city and wildlife.
It's a commonly requested thing that the Narrative team do Q&A sessions with the fans, but they're hesitant. Some pretty good reasons why, as well.

There's nothing new for Narrative to say: Things are being delayed by tech problems, there's no change to the planned summoner's retcon, the team is talking about this magical future where stories are going to come out regularly but they haven't really laid the groundwork for that future to happen, they acknowledge that there are huge problems with the lore (Singed, IoW champs), but they're not rushing to do anything about it, etc.
They know better than the community. This is implied, admittedly, but when you have a team working on something the company claims to be important but they're not doing it through with fans interaction (see IronStylus's numerous posts about Taric and Poppy as examples) but by internal committee, it's something to be concerned about.

I think there certainly should be lore Q&As and the simple fact that the lore team used to do them to accompany champion releases suggests that they're hardly an impossibilty. A regular comment of late with Riot's post-release Q&As has been that they haven't featured anyone from the narrative team, and I really don't understand why that should be the case. I love going back through the forum archives to look at the discussions on characters like Zed, Diana and the like just to remind myself of all the additional insight we received from them. They were a shining beacon of community engagement in a time when there wasn't much communication.
It kinda feels like we've gone all the way back to square one.

There should. But yh, just make it clear that the Q&A will be about things that are not related to the retcon. It will create a much more positive atmosphere.
And for some of those who are still bitter with the retcon or find it hard to accept, follow my example. I've decided to take a new route in life and give up gaming altogether. Maybe that's a bit extreme, but that's my personal approach.
Remember, you are agreeing to Riot's terms and agreements. If you cannot agree, then leave and stop playing. It's a much better way to deal with stuff than staying here and being angry all the time.

I think the main issue is that they don't know the whole story. And I'm not trying to be mean and say "OMG THEY DID THE RETCON WITHOUT ANY FORETHOUGHT!?!?!?". I honestly believe they're trying to change the world of Runeterra, one place at a time. They might not be able to give details on Demacia or Bandle City because they simply haven't worked on it. They're putting their efforts into Shurima right now, and thats fine with me. Better a single super well done place than a bunch of shoddy ones.
I'd be happy with Lore-anything at this point. We're STILL waiting on those "long form lores" from the shurima event.
While it's a nice idea and I would love to hear insights and such the Q & As provide, it would most likely devolve into a long, rage filled session filled with people who will rabidly attack anyone involved with changing what they believed was perfect lore.
