So apparently Akali is no longer in the kinkou

And is out to find her own way of balance.

This, this is interesting as it allows Zed and other members of the shadow order to approach her as a potential ally, or it lets her better interact with Vastaya (I mean, to some extent. I don’t think Xayah will like her) since she has no alliances with anyone.

But does this also mean that the Kinkou order is now just Shen? Is that even an order anymore?

Zed left, Akali left, Kennen is MIA, and his dad is dead.

What about Kennen?

I think the Kinkou order has more ninjas than just Shen, Akali, and Kennen. We'll see what kind of lore comes out with it, but just like we saw Zed's acolytes in Xayah and Rakan's stories, we'll probably see some of Shen's acolytes with the updated Kinkou lore.

Considering the splash art that shows a dead ninja of the Order of Shadows, i don't think that the approach was successful.

I think that she is still against Zed, as in the page here:

https://www.artstation.com/artwork/d2vQ1 There is a little snippit about her killing anyone she views as a problem. She seems to be the middle ground for me between Shen/Zed.

But even in her trailer she kinda looks back at Shen as if waiting for him to stop her from leaving, so I think she is still on somewhat alright terms with them but feels they need to be more active.

But yeah, Kinkou order is likely broken up but whats coming from it is pretty cool! At least, broken up for now!

Maybe shen's got another student riot is going to announce in the next year.

Warlord Rhinark7/16/2018, 9:39:21 PM2 votes

I'd like to see where Riot decides to go with the idea of the Triumvirate, seeing as it only has 2 members now.

She was already out of the Kinkou in her current lore. And if I recall her character always had a duality to her. Zed killed all who apposed, Shen protected but did not kill, Akali has been both. The Kinkou is still an Order, but the only in game character is Shen (their leader). As for Kennen I don't recall if he is still there or if he was only there for a time to focus his energy and hyperness and then left.

she's 'pulling a Sasuke' on Shen. She's still his ally, just more aloof one. I ain't abandoning that ship.

He still has Kennen, tough he'll probably be some sort of ninja fanboy, the way Poppy and Kled represent Demacia and Noxus. Makes Kinkou vs Shadows a fair 2v2 fight.

For some reason I only just realized the similarity to the Kenkou from D&D. What is the bridging lore between the two? I bet there's something interesting to be learned from this....

Just want to say, we've known this for months.

The Kinkou Order disbanded when Kusho was beheaded. They either were killed, joined Zed, or were saved by Shen. From there, they likely separated. Considering the given fact that Shen is struggling with being the Eye of Twilight already, I doubt he could lead an organization that consists of many if any people.

What happened to Kennen ??
