So the harrowing is just a story this year?
first there was no pax/riot skin, now no actual harrowing event or game mode to go with these ugly new skins

I'd hardly call them lazy, they freed the Harrowing from being an Halloween-only event, and made a goddamn amazing piece of lore to go with it. Skins aren't associated but still good, and with both Worlds and Preseason preparations going on, I don't think anyone can blame them.
I actually have to agree with OP.
It is kind of a let down that we don't get anything outside of skins and lore.
I would have really liked a featured game mode where we have to hunt treats in the jungle or something.
What was last years harrowing event? I know on the older map they'd use the halloween map but I dont recall an event
People have been complaining about riot only giving us lore when there is a big event to sell skins and stuff.
I guess this time they simply want to try out how successful such a lore event is without all this fancy stuff around.
