I think that League of Legends Lore had something great going with the Journal of Justice

For those who don't know:

The Journal of Justice is a collection of news articles which chronicles the events currently in motion on Runeterra. The Journal issues were divided into volumes. The start of Season Two would have marked the start of Volume Two. It was put on hold while Riot researched other ways to convey the lore.

It's no rush, no specific time frame. Just start from Aatrox, and release a small entry each X days.

Maybe foundations need to be laid out first.

Sounds reasonable to me.

I'd like the JOJ back. Fluff is nice.

No they ended it to explore other ways to convey the lore. Journal of Justice is done. Even in the lore it was brought to an end because its writers disbanded.

Looking for other ways to convey could mean looking for writers.

I feel like you're mixing up the words here. The in lore justification for the JoJ ending was that the writers felt shamed by the whole Kalamanda scandal and disbanded the journal as a result. The actual irl writers wanted to explore new methods to convey lore. The irl writers have been bringing in more writers over the years yes, but this has little to do with the Journal. If anything the Journal doesn't exist in the new lore anymore.

Ahh Ok I get what you mean. I personally was a noob during the creation of them (didnt know there was even lore much less more champions) but i think riot could just make a new ... newspaper or something that highlighted basic champion life and problems they face and then have certain lore events.

Currently we can't really do that because A) The foundations are still being laid out and B) The JoJ had the IoW to sponsor it in-world. What would sponsor it in this world? Every city-state would be too biased to really justify it.

The irl writers have been bringing in more writers over the years yes,

From my interview experience, they are really pushing to get 'creative suggestions' from even the lowest entry level writers. And even after I said I'm pretty sure it's not expected of me, interviewer said basically "don't let your dreams be dreams" and to just keep the suggestions going. To him, to the head NA office? I don't know.

At least we got the Tyrant Swain skin out of it.

Seriously, that's...pretty much the only thing ever featured in the Journal that got in-game.

Other ways. That's why you have to get rid of one way to use another :/.

Personally, I think the Journal of Justice was among the best works done for the lore, but sadly I don't see it returning. The League is now more of a looking glass for the world rather than a direct portal for us to be involved in it. JoJ would not mesh well into the new lore, I'm afraid.

That...is a great idea.
