I also recall someone from Riot saying that they would rather not give a Limited skin to a champion that has only 1 skin.
Additionally, not only is Zed's only skin since release a Limited skin, but it also is only 750. It offers no striking aesthetic change.
Logic would say he is up ahead for a skin.
But is he?

Luckily it looks like riot learned from this since they haven't done anything like this anymore and they even made the second skins for

permanent addtions,despite being event-skins originally(zyra and vi were halloween skins(although in vis case that was in-name only) and Dianas was a chinese-new-year-skin(with the skins for

being legacy skins)
Some older champs also never got a new skins.
But they already confirmed that 
has 2 skins in the works(which actually makes me believe he is getting the ultimate skin,so that there is also a new skin for him for the people who don't want to buy an ultimate skin)
And I think 
is getting a kit rework(and maybe a VU too) first
