We already know that what truly drives him is his desire for conquest and domination yet what lead up to him becoming the Iron Revenant is still shrouded in mystery.
What was he like before deciding to embrace undeath? Who were the people important to him in his mortal life, if he had any? Was he ever comitted to one partner or was he just some Warlord with mistresses?
So many questions, so few answers.

The real question is
I'd imagine Mordekaiser's obsession for conquest comes from somewhere, but I'm not sure if he'd ever loved another.
We only know of Mordekaiser's past as a conqueror, which implies that his life before that wasn't impactful enough to be remembered (or he made sure no one would). I have a feeling he was someone who only saw people as tools to be used (which is why he killed and enslaved those that resurrected him) but it's a mystery whether he always had this view or developed it over time during his conquest.
Perhaps his suit is a symbol that he is only a shell of what he used to be? That not even he remembers why he desires to conquer all. He just wants it now.
