plus riven is in yasuo spotlight and usually when riot puts another champion in a spotlight they usually have a connection.
Nah, Riven was too busy commanding her troops on the battlefield at that time. The old guy Yasuo was supposed to protect was murdered away from the battle by some kind of assassin while Yasuo was out on a drunk killing-spree.
I get the feeling that there is another wind user and Ionia (I still say it was Ao Shin. That guy seems to have his own agenda for Ionia. I mean, he seems to be integal for lore as Riot is STILL working on him somehow...)
The thing is, while Riven is an obvious suspect, she isn't using any kind of wind technique.
You'd think "the best wind user of his time" should tell a difference between an enchanted sword and controlling wind.

You know, she killed tons of other pepole without any doubt. She made a lot of mistakes in the past, but realized this only when was backstabbed by her own country, that's why she exiled herself from Noxus and borke her sword.
Riven was busy killing ionians and getting her squad killed in Singed's chemical attack.
Some other chucklefuck killed the elder.
Question:
Who cares? That was 2 years ago, Riot is clearly not going to do anything with that plot point. It could have been Singed the entire time and nothing would change.
Why does everyone refer to the elder as Yasuos master?
