So would this mean that Caitlyn may see a visual rework, or were they just taking a fun poke at that fact? I think its something interesting to consider.

Personally, I love her ironic look.

Cait visually is honestly a mess, purple steampunk Halloween costume, the wacky quirks if steampunk make little sense in modern piltover aesthetics (look at Camille as the modern piltover fashion) sleek, streamlined, muted colors, where I'd assume the gold and white is a status symbol for the upper class

I think it'd be cool if Cait retained some aspects of her old gimmicky look (like the belts, love the belts) but all the thrills and the monocle extender hat are so weird for the sherif of the most culturally advanced city in runeterra.

However I gotta say I hope they don't give her any robot parts, I know it's all the rage in piltover/zaun but I think that's on of the major differences between her and Camille (and vi even, to a lesser extent)

You want to make the most "culturally advanced" society make her cover up unnecessarily? In what world is that advanced?

It's a fantasy world, in a steampunk setting, and she has a steampunk outfit. What's the problem? Haven't you heard her quotes?

Visually she's cohesive and perfect. I just can't understand all the people wanting to change her because risque outfits are "wrong" somehow. They are so small minded that they can't even imagine someone wanting both to be a force of justice and wear revealing clothing. It's almost as if... characters can have more than one personality trait! (Wow! What a crazy idea, huh?)

The Rioter that made this comment is small-minded and creatively challenged. They should be terminated immediately before they damage anything further. Approval of Caitlyn's outfit should be a litmus test of whether or not someone is mentally suited for a role in the design team.

I dont know i personally love the irony of how she looks. She doesnt look like a 'prim and proper sheriff', which in my opinion is what makes Caitlyn, Caitlyn. I mean her voice lines even support that shes not supposed to be prim and proper. So i personally love how she is now.

In general we know that Caitlyn is not among the top candidates for a VGU(or at least she wasn't one when we were told who was among the top candidates). Those are Akali Chogath DrMundo Irelia Kayle & Morgana (those 2 will get their VGU together) Mordekaiser Nunu Rammus Pantheon Shaco Swain Volibear XinZhao

However it is very likely that they have brainstormed already what to do with her when she'll be updated and they'll likely change her outfit once she gets her turn.

Well, Cait need only a little VU and not a a full rework; his gameplay is ok, i hate her late game damage but is ok. She is like Ashe: at moment, the look don't respect how is in lore.

They don't do standalone VUs anymore,only VGUs. Because in the end the gameplay of every champ can be improved,even if its just a little bit(keep in mind a VGU doesn't need to change the gameplay completely^,Tristana is a good example of that)

Yep i know, maybe they can for Ashe give a less binary gameplay and more difficult(Q skillshot?) and for Cait change the function of passive and traps and maybe the Q(is just no-sense see use one precision shotgun like a pistol.)

Btw, for this VGU we need to wait...2-3 years? Sure not now.

yeah the Cait VGU will likely not be anytime soon. At their current speed,they can give us ~4 champ-updates every year(5 or 6 would also be possible if we are lucky,but if we are unlucky we might only get 3 in one year) and the top candidates for a VGU(after Urgot and Evelynn of course,since those 2 are already in production) are currently Akali Chogath DrMundo Irelia Kayle & Morgana (these 2 would be updated together) Mordekaiser Nunu Pantheon Rammus Shaco Swain Volibear XinZhao

Unless they'll manage to increase their production speed(which isn't that unlikely,they did already become faster),they'll need over 2 years to finish these and Caitlyn is likely not even a top candidate among the Tier2-VGU-candidates. So I'd say 3-4 years is actually more likely for her(unless she is lucky,as they said that sometimes a tier2-candidate will get priority over a Tier1-candidate)

Possibly it means plans for a future design update. Not a VGU as her gameplay is pretty solid but a sort of makeover to give her a better sheriff vibe. If that were to be the plan though it would likely be coming a while down the line since champions that need updates on both their gameplay and visual are seen as higher priority.

To get a better idea of what Riot might have in store for Caitlyn new look, you should look at Rachel J. Corey's comic on Jayce. That's the kind of look i think Riot might want for our British-like sniper.
