Which 4 champs would fit best in Lucians party?
How would the team's personalities synergize?
How about their abilities?
Would there be any casualties/ heroic sacrifices/ betrayals on the journey?
are the only ones, as far as i know, that would be able to not be turned into undead creatures. Also, Bard can create a portal to escape.

There's no rescueing Senna with this party but atleast they all die horribly to the black mist and everyone rejoices with Lucian being hailed as a hero.

: she probably has her own goals in Shadow Isles and its convenient for her to join forces with others. Just for some funny moments where they are fighting some ghosts and she is all "Nonsence. Ghosts don't exist", and also because there must be a voice of logic in the team. Will still think that ghosts don't exist after the end.
: just there for fun. Will do a lot of stupid shit, then will sacrifice himself to save someone, will have his ghost pulled out by Thresh and then he is "Oh shit, I promised Xayah I wouldn't die. If she finds out I died, she will be mad, maybe she will even kill me! Nonononono, I'm out!", breaks free and returns in his body.
Ekko, cause if they fail he can turn back time.
Ryze, because he's probably too powerful.
Sion, because he is already dead and a great meat shield.
Master Yi, because it's master Yi and he is a one man army in the lore.

- I already mentioned MF above (and she is my favorite champ, but I also like these champions, it works). The enemies would be binded, charmed, and knockuped for so long that they just wave the white flag.

Assuming we’re going off Lore Lucian’s technically demacian, but as far as we know he doesn’t have any particular hatred towards magic specifically, but towards necromancy, so champs who dabble in that are a no-go.
could be a good spirit medium to try to pull Senna out of the lantern (assuming Lucian could track Morg down)
is another strong contender, that is if Lucian where willing to work with him. Since he’s technically not undead and wishes to put them to rest. He could be the muscle to fight of thresh.

My original thought was something like Vayne, Yorick, Ryze, and Bard based on who he could meet. Bard being an invisible helping hand of course. (This party failing would have disastrous consequences for the Universe itself, especially with Yorick or Ryze dying. He needs to make sure they stay alive imo.)
But then I thought about who he could also meet on the isles: Kalista. That would be an interesting possibility, I wonder what would happen if he were to sacrifice himself for Senna, turning Kalista against Thresh in the process? They have history...

My choice is based on the lore
- First of his teammates. She is demon-monster hunter, so phantoms should be great target for her. Obviously she would join to Lucian because of her "ideology", and later she would leave team, because of non-human allies. Also I do believe that her visuals should be something between demacian clothes and witcher track-armor... I can't take seriously this latex overalls and sunglasses. Of course if whole story would be comic, or something.
- He is kinda "main protagonist" of this universe. If there is rune on the Shadow Isles, then he would team-up with Lucian, "assistance for assistance".
- But this champion requires a rework, if he wants to be part of real lore. I like idea of viking which wants to die in battle, but fate have different plans for him(peaceful death from old age), but he should be expanded. For example he could leave Freljord to find great opponent somewhere in the world. Finally he could hear about Shadow Isles and Thresh. Then he could join to the team to help them, because he would believe that he will die honorably on Shadow Isles. Of course his design should be slightly changed, so that it doesn't look like the '80s viking stereotype... Dunno, maybe without this dumb helmet but with scarf, eye-patch, exposed chest, etc.
- He is native creature of Isles, which fights with death. He could be interested in our company, because he can sense "life in them". Of course Vayne would leave, she can't stand "magic beast".
- Well, they were also potential members, but I prefer my OG squad. Imho some kinda of tough fighter would be cool, something like mercenary warrior, but there's no such a champion. Graves and TF could work as mercenaries, but in my opinion they're more like gangsters, not warriors... Ezreal could kinda fit as "adventurer" who wants to research history of Blessed Isles, but I can't see him as a member of rescue squad(same with Yummi). LeBlanc disguised as "someone" could appear early in the story, and join them, but meanwhile she would plot to collect something from Threshe's "Lair"(maybe artifact that would help "protect" Noxus from Mordekaiser)...And there's Yorick which is to "neutral" to do something. They could met him, but nothing more.

From what I remember, Vayne kills Lucian in Lore... at least that was the lore at the time- which would mean, she has to be within the roster. Though, it would make a lot of sense to mix the corrupted star guardian storyline against Lucian because of the quote, "Lucian and his wife battled evil in Runeterra for years, bringing light to darkness and purging those taken by corruption." Which could essentially create a whole new line of skins to bring into league.
On a more serious note, I think it would be cool to play a "star guardian or odyssey styled" event for Lucian and his party. This could create a lot of opportunity for many more skins and profit for RIOT. For example, since these people are basically in a battle against the shadow isles, the enemies could also get skins. As another example, I'd use Yoric, Morgana, Shaco, Nocturne, Fiddlesticks, Karthus, Hecarim, Ellise, Mordekaiser, and Thresh as a base of enemy sources. In a constant race to reach the destination, you're constantly bombarded with shaco boxes, fiddlesticks crows (e), impactful moments of Nocturne's R "darkness", slowing barriers/wall of pain (w) from Karthus, Yoric constantly spawning his undead army, Elise spawning her spiders, Shaco Clones that are still dangerous, Miniature Hecarim horses, and Morgana creating a bunch of corruption spots that also act as source of temporary damage increase but in loss of hp, all in protection of thresh forcing such actions, holding him hostage. When a player dies or is about to, the game will use mordekaiser's ultimate (before the rework) and once dead in ghost form you must "kill it" in to revive your teammate from the party. Now onto the champions that would actually fill hour Lucian's roster.
Lucian's roster looks like it may be a mixture of Demacian allies/foes, and Shadow allies/foes. For example, Evelyn and Maokai (maybe even Elise) have a long history from being there and since they're both spirits with "objectives", I can't see them being on a team and more of a neutral party from which you barter with, but kalista... I can see Lucian becoming desperate or Kalista actually being a reincarnation of Senna. After all, Kalista has a legit story on her hands that can easily be read as Senna as one of her past life(s). With that being said, I can see each of these people constantly being reminded of their lore and feel like "starstruck lovers". On the other hand, I feel as if Galio MUST BE a part of the team because lucian is considered as one of Demacia's country men and Karthus is known to be a powerful mage which is identified as death. I can see Galio having a guardian (duh. lol) relationship with everyone of Demacian relations and a little more of a pathetic quirky "ha ha, you being alive is the reason why I'm alive" attitude against karthus. I was going to say fiora for shaco due to her place being a place for mannequins, but nevermind. I hate everything about Fiora and her lore. Although it'd make a LOT of sense, I hate her and that's just my opinion. For giggles, I'd say ivern. Just because the joke would be there for Maokai. But no. Not for serious gameplay reasons. He's be really bad. Braum would be the 3rd of the list for personal reasons, but also because he could actually offer lucian ascension from his past due to Braum's "strong heart" and personality. He'd step in saving lucian and offer the redemption of kalista who would be found attacking lucian during a love confession. For the 4th and final champion of the roster, Is you guessed it... vayne. Because no ONE ELSE FITS in better than she does... and I rather not care about detail on this part.
Vayne is kinda volunteer, because of her job.
Soraka, or Sona could be great support role. Also i can imagine Soraka being able to bring her back to life for good.
Tank might be difficult to find since none of them are interested in going there. Maybe Garen could be convinced since he is the great white knight hero type.
Last one might be someone known for the way of souls. Yorick, or Mordekaiser. He would be the constant suspect of treason. Would be funny, if he were loyal to the end, and Vayne would be the one who betrays everyone, because of him.
