Reading all of Zaun's Lore really scares me (for different reasons)

Its now established that Zaun is a terrible place to live at this point and there is absolutely no champion/character that wants to make a differences with out the brutality level of violence of Urgot.

Every time, I see a new Zaun lore. It includes something to dangerous for the common and innocent people of Zaun to survive for their lives every single day.

We have a Madman who goes out and kill people at random that shows they get butchered into pieces. DrMundo

A Monster that kills and will hunt others until the end of earth as long as your bleeding. Warwick

Urgot because we needed more danger in a city that is already dangerous to begin with.

A man who does so many test subjects on random people that might have resulted on failures and making more monsters to run wild Singed (A part of me is thinking that Singed is secretly a Chem-Baron, But that's might just be me.)

A woman that has Blades for legs who occasionally visits Zaun to assassinate for some rich man that will leave no witnesses. Camille

And so many Chem-barons that has who knows how many Chem-Goons that will kill anyone.

In conclusion, there has to be someone who wants to will stand up against all of them and make Zaun into a better place.

There is no doubt there is someone who will fight all of them and wants to make peace towards Zaun and knows the pain of all better then Urgot. (There are so many things that bothers me about Urgot that really he doesn't deserve to punish all Zaun for Noxus plan to screw him over.)

No doubt, this character will eventually hate Piltover too if it learns The Zaun's Gray origins and will find a way to make them pay for bringing all of the pain they have caused toward the cities of Zaun that wanted a normal life but cant because of all the crime.

I have made a champion that is exactly that person who would want to fix Zaun but I need to flesh out his lore better and make him fit all of crazy shit that is happening towards Zaun along side his motive to protect his home against any form of conflict.

Not to mention the massive plot hole that both Vi Jinx have and give a perfectly good reason why they hate each other. Because a small part of me knows that there is something more to it then just Jinx annoying Vi for the fun of it.

Its just a small little thought of mine. And I really should get on working on his lore if i want to make it perfect for League's story and game. I might do it when i have free time. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Zaun has its heroes too, even if they are outnumbered Zac is a vigilante of the good sort, hiding in the pipes of the city and emerging to defend the weak. Janna is a near-omnipresent guardian angel who exists to hug sad people. Viktor is trying to make life better for everyone through the use of technology. Contrary to popular belief, he is not a violent character and has only peaceful intentions. And most importantly Ekko is looking after all the kids in Zaun who don't want to become chem-tech war machines.

Stuff like that is Why I love all 4 of them. (Especially Viktor and why i hate Jayce because of lore reasons)

But its kinda sad that it's more villains then heroes.

And what really bothers me is that no one of them are planning on revolting or let alone fight against a good chunk of Zaun's evil.

Well, the good thing is they have their own reasons why they don't/can't fight against almost all of Zaun's criminal empire and slue of monsters.

Honestly, when i write my guys lore on why, I'm gonna make a damn good reason why he will fight until the end. Not just some cliche reason (Though a person who wants to fight for the greater good is gonna be hard) , but a reason why he is driven to fight against them. If I can, I might make a comic/animation to make it more dynamic for the character.

True, none of them are planning to go to war against the chem-barons. But I think that's good. There's already too much bloodshed in Zaun without these champs joining in. Conflict always has consequences, and always has collateral damage. A hero who is trying to remove all crime and pain from a slum like Zaun is going to end up as a dictator pretty quickly.

That being said, they are not going to stand idly by while Urgot guns down people in the streets. But the little good deeds that they do can add up. Zaun will always have crime, unfortunately, but that doesn't mean the people need to be shaped by it. This is why I think Ekko is such an important character. Through his example, the next generation of Zaunites are learning to stand up for themselves, and seeing a future that doesn't end as a Chem-Baron lackey or a Pitlover slave.

Also, about the Piltover officials Caitlyn Vi Camille Jayce. These champs might be content to ignore the disappearances and muggings in Zaun, but now that Urgot's on the scene they will have to reluctantly step in. Urgot's revolution will spread to Piltover if its not stopped, and you can bet Camille will try to stop it before it begins.

It's really hard to fight a corrupt system. Most of these villains are a symptom of a culture. Plus most of them have limits in what they can do, so they do what they can.

There are always more villains than heroes. Most likely, its becuase its harder to be a hero, than it is to be a villain. Although, I do count WW as kind of a hero. Despite being overtaken by his beastly side, he does try to make life better in Zuan, although he accomplishes it by killing people.

Isnt Viktor idea of making life better just replacing all their organic parts with synthetic parts? That still sounds kinda villainous if you like your organs.

He doesn't force it on anyone, though. Just doing the operation if the patient is not concious to decide himself, but that is something every doctor will do and have to. He wants to protect their life.

However, he is not kidnapping people and turning them into machines against their will. He thinks that people should realise that replacing their organic parts is logical, that it would improve their life quality. But if you refuse, nothing is going to happen to your precious organs.

Read his short story from the Zaun update, it is great. A young boy needs a solution to his problem. Viktor is offering it, but the boy has to agree that this is what he wants.

Does that make Corrin Reveck a villain then? If you like your organs, don't ask Viktor for new ones. And don't complain when you die prematurely from the dozens of diseases and blights spread by the Zaun fog. Augmentation are a social norm in Zaun and Piltover, to the extent that some people have fake augmentations to seem cooler. Viktor's augmentations just go further than others, and even he hasn't gone any further than Camille has.

If we are going to divide Zaun characters into heroes and villains, then I firmly believe Viktor is a hero.

That^ that is our Zaun, that is why the champions are who they are and Zaun is not a city of heroes or villians, saviors or annihilators they're all liberators! And many of the faceless people in Zaun are oppressed.

Like people already stated, there are good characters in Zaun as well. Ekko Janna Viktor Zac But I agree that we could use another "good" champion from Zaun.

A champion idea I was tinkering with myself (but seems people didn't really get interested), was a alchemy based champion (since in my opinion, Singed gameplay doesn't really reflect that), who is trying to find a cure for the diseases caused by the Zaun gray. Wanted to make her a jungler and utilising plants. I think it could have a great contrast, since Zaun is all about chemtech.

How is someone from Zaun able to experiment with plants? What really caught my eye were the biospheres described in the Zaun lore, which some chembarons own. I could imagine her going to steal seeds for these biospheres from rare plants from the chembarons, using her alchemic inventions. And then she is raising these seeds in her laborotory, looking forward to find a solution to the Zaun gray with natural ingredients.

I would love to have a champion from Zaun, who has some relation to the biospheres. They come a bit short and show a more beautiful side of Zaun in my opinion.

To add to that list of good characters, Blitzcrank. A maintenance robot who gained sentience and now wants to do his best for the people of Zaun, helping out wherever he can.

Warwick is questionable. While his motives are good (because he wants to get rid of the murderers and chembarons in Zaun), he is harming innocent people as well.

His short story is describing it pretty well. When he smells blood, he is no longer able to control himself and goes on a killing spree. A young woman died in that short story and he was not able to remember if the thugs killed her or he was it himself.....

So, while his goal is noble, he is still a danger for the common people over there. He may do it by accident, not willfully, but that doesn't negate that you don't want to be near him in the dark.

Soraka's Lore discusses how a (human) man named Warwick comes to her forest, where she resides as a goddess of healing. Warwick asks for her help, his wife dead in his arms, but she is unable to do anything. So she offers healing of the soul, and peace of the mind, to Warwick. He initially rejects her offer, but later returns, and she grows attached to him as she helps ease his grief. One day, he abandons the grove where she resides, saying that he is going to enact vengeance upon the men who killed his wife. Soraka chases him, and finds him in a battle with a large group of men. She continuously heals his wounds, but they inflict more damage than she can heal. Against the judgement of the stars, she turns their powers into a weapon, and strikes down the men fighting Warwick, sacrificing her celestial form in the process. But, as Soraka healed Warwick's wounds, his true colors showed, and he stabbed her. As her now-mortal form bled, she called the powers of the stars again, blasting Warwick with all of her power, searing his flesh and leaving him wounded to flee.

It was in this wounded state, unable to fight, barely able to move, that Singed found Warwick, an easy subject to test on, and that's where Warwick's lore takes over.

So, Warwick is the reason Soraka is no longer a goddess, and by extension, Soraka is the reason Warwick is the monster that he is.

You say you like lore, so I might just be telling you stuff you already know but just in case:

Not every piece of lore on the Universe/ wiki is up to date. Be aware that any champion profile page that only contains a small Bio story and no Colour story to go with (or vise versa) is more often then not a non-canon story, liable for major changes in the future. In fact any champion whose lore consists of 4 paragraphs long or shorter should be a dead give away. With the exception of any champ released in the last 3 years like Braum, Vel'Koz and Tahm Kench etc.

Although to make matters more confusing, there are a handful of other champs without a Bio story but do have canon Colour text like Cassio, Jax, Lee Sin, Fiddlesticks, Sion and Tristana.

Thats not it at all tho. Raka's lore is non canon. Singed himself states that he found Warwick in zaun and kidnapped him from the streets. And Raka would be in Ionia due to irelia's lore. So they have nothing to do with eachother anymore.

The thing is, Soraka's lore is as canon as possible currently, and until it gets updated it's the only thing we have to work with. I'd love some new, more thorough lore for Soraka, but I'm only talking about the lore as it's posted, whether it's the "official" lore or not, it's been approved by Riot.

A champ that wants to start a revolution sounds just as bad tho because all they would be doing is causing more bloodshed and angering the higher ups in piltover. Honestly i think Ekko is already the champ thats gonna make a zaun a better place. He is only sixteen and he uses his hextech gadgets to defend other children in zaun. Once he is older and smarter and with funding he could improve zaun life by so much and would make it to a city to rival piltover.

The great thing about it is that he's Ekko, he has the ZeroDrive. He can just rewrite the timeline as many times as he needs (with respects to his personal stamina, and long term effects) to in order to find the best possible path. So far, we've only seen him use his power to go back a few minutes, which isn't much when it comes to a revolution, but he's constantly creating new gadgets and finding new uses for his skills, it's only a matter of time before he finds a better, more stable way to turn back time.

My character doesnt want to start a revolution, he just want the clans to pay for their crimes.

But i understand your logic. Bloodshed wont really help at all, in fact it would just make the whole Zaun stereotype even worse

As the mater of fact, He doesnt know the orgin of Zaun's gray. Yet, when he does he would punish them for their crimes. He would kill but only if he knows they deserves it or not.

For example.

If he ever encountered Urgot , he would try to learn of his actions and see if he worth of redemption. But knowing so that Urgot left some of his victims alive and told them of his words. He will kill him at all cost due to the fact of the terror he is causing.

Another example, Warwick is a special case for him. If he learns of the real Warwick, he would try his best to cure him but if the beast inside gets out of control and there is no cure. He would be forces to take him down like the rabid dog he is.

But this character is still something that i need to flesh out for others to like and I hope to clear up on his reasons to fight against curtain parts of Piltover. He will not create a revolution against Piltover, that is 100% for sure. as for the reason, I'm gonna write it on his lore when i write it.
