Fun fact, the 7 deadly sins aren't considered by the church to be some sort of list of ultra sins, they're actually just a means of categorizing basically every other sin. The theory being that any sin should fall into one of the seven categories

Nocturne and Shaco are also confirmed to be demons. Though they are both in need of work lore and kit wise XD.

Draven = Pride he should get a pride demon skin. I can't think of any other champion that fits the pride sin more than Draven DravenDravenDraven

Running off of this I'm thinking: Evelynn Lust TahmKench Gluttony/Greed Nocturne Wrath Shaco Sloth A lot of his kit does the work for him (W and Ult) which could be considered lazy though the player IS doing work

I'd like some new champs to fill in the other 3 especially envy which could be interesting imo. Shaco and Noc could use a Visual update to make them better look the part.

TahmKench Gluttony. Lets be real, eternal hunger, sly and eager to endless consume all emotion and physical being of a person until they are a husk, ripe for the picking.

Evelynn Lust. Vicious and tenacious, she hounds after men and women alike, revealing clothing and always in for the thrill of a kill, she revels in this state of temptation and deadly arts.

Jhin Pride. Jhin believes he is the BEST, and not in a good way like Wukong, or moronic and egotistical like Draven, who only cares for his social standing. Jhin believes he is the height, the pinnacle of all that can be or will be, a god depicting actors of gruesome, bloody deaths in the name of himself, and the pursuit of art. In his eyes, there is no right or wrong, only his own perfection.

Gangplank Exemplifies wrath. Anger and hatred burned Gangplank into this monster of man, who even when spirit, body, and mind sunken to the depths of bilgewater's vile tide, he came back up, only fueled by his burning fury. He had his arm cut off, and he still took the pain and had it replaced. Nothing would stop him.

Rammus is sloth. Yes, he moves fast, but rammus, rather than placing effort into his attacks, has his opponent impale themselves on his shell, rarely ever finding it necessary for himself to need to focus on actually hurting his enemy. He moves slowly without his powerball, and simply decides to answer in most one line sentences and responses, to minimize his use of communication and social interaction. He'd probably take a nap rather than fight an opponent if he could choose.

Kled Well, he could give GP a run for his money, Kled represents greed. He claims everything as his, and if it isn't his, it still somehow belongs to him, and he is entitled to it. His long line of names in the military earns him that much.

Ahri Envy. Ahri wishes to be human, and know the pleasure of the mortal world, but is limited by her own type of mortality and need of souls, and so she wants what she could never achieve, and so desperately seeks for, which is exceptances.

I mean, these are my 7, but the void could easily fill this up: Malzahar (sloth; witnesses the terror of void, chooses not to stop it), Khazix (envy; wants constant evolution) KogMaw (Gluttony; LITERALLY ENDLESS HUNGER INCARNATE) Chogath (Pride; Known as the world consumer, and believes to be the pinnacle of food chain) Kassadin (Wrath; Embodied anger and defiance) RekSai (lust, pred instincts to lead clan as a female, proves her power as queen 'bee', ideal mate) Velkoz (Greed, Wishes all knowledge of the world be his, and his alone, that everything belong to his infinite database of knowledge and materials be stowed as memory for him and him alone)

Riot has said that they're trying not to use judeo-christian archetypes in demon champions. That is, they said that with Tahm Kench. Each demon champ in the future probably won't be as cookie-cutter as the seven deadlys. It's already confirmed that Tahm represents both greed and gluttony, but not those specifically. He more represents desire and how it can be used to cause misery.

What exactly Evelynn represents is currently unknown (I think), but if Tahm is misery (emotional pain) than Evelynn is probably agony (physical pain).

Ralanr9/26/2017, 8:10:15 PM4 votes

I think Tahm is actually supposed to be greed. I always get confused though.

ahferroin79/28/2017, 12:26:16 AM3 votes

Hmm...

I wonder if Wrath will be a little kid whose ult negates all damage and reflects it multiplicatively.

Or maybe Sloth will float around on a pillow that turns into a spear...

Bârd9/26/2017, 11:44:30 PM3 votes

How do Nocturne and Shaco fit into this?

KotetsuTatsumaki9/26/2017, 8:07:54 PM2 votes

I mean, there's still the debate over whether or not the Darkin are supposed to be the 4 horsemen or not... this seems a bit more legit though given the Kench interaction.

Wondering if we are gonna see more additions via new champs or reworks. Assuming Morgana is still on the long term rework list maybe they will make her pride? May or may not conflict with the plan to do a duo rework with her and Kayle though.

KotetsuTatsumaki9/26/2017, 11:07:20 PM2 votes

Sloth would probably be really hard to represent as a champion now that I think about it? What are the active abilities of a champion that symbolizes laziness supposed to be...

...

...

First champion with nothing but passive abilities confirmed.

I've always enjoyed using the Seven Deadly Sins thematically in fictional works, especially when villains embody them. I really do hope we get one demonic character for each sin, if only because I enjoy complete sets. lol I've seen people say Nocturne and Shaco are both demonic entities as well and I think I'd agree with that, so if that's the case, then we have four of the seven. That leaves three, and I wonder what they'll be like if Riot is going down that path after all.

Honestly, I think Sloth might fit Nocturne rather well as opposed to Wrath. Not that Wrath doesn't fit him, but the fact that he attacks people in their dreams is notable. He could lull people into slumber, then basically kill them in their own minds a la Freddy Krueger. He could prey on the lazy and the timid, kinda like that little boy who he possessed in that one story. As for Shaco, I'm not sure what he'd be, but I did see someone say that they thought he'd be like a demon who pursued the prideful in order to feed off their pride, since he'd basically be screwing with them the whole time. Mind games to break the haughty and make them go nuts, then go in for the kill.

If Nocturne and Shaco end up being demons in their VGUs, though, then I hope the next few demons aren't assassins. XD

JarPoop IV9/27/2017, 3:45:46 AM2 votes

Isn't tahm both gluttony and greed?

Wayward Killjoy9/27/2017, 9:24:15 AM2 votes

Also I'd like to point out Shaco was never confirmed as a demon, and Nocturne is of unknown origin and born of dreams. If they were in fact demons Evelynn would have had interactions with them similar to her interaction with Tahm. I only say this because Riot's M.O. on tying champs together are much more explicit in V.O.s. They never go out and say it but its never a stretch either. Nocturne and Shaco sort of are. (Shaco's title was determined before this trend started so it's not a valid argument)

Like with hinting that Varus carries a Darkin, Rhaast was very clear he was familiar with that. Also if we tie them in with the four horsemen it should go like this:

Pestilence: Varus War: Aatrox Death: Rhaast We're missing famine.

P.S. There are two versions of the four horsemen. The original version is the theological one, the secondary is the one used by fantasy material.

This distinction only exists because one of the horsemen in the theological version ARE NOT ACTUAL BEINGS. They are representations of events and time periods similar to the cows in the dream Joseph interpreted. We can discern this from the typical appearances of things in the scriptures.

The type used in fantasy material is composed of ACTUAL DEMONS. This only happened because one of the horsemen in the theological text is a representation of the sexond or third coming I can't remember which. Its not fun when the good guy is one of the enders of the world so media rearranged them in order to create a fourth antagonist. Riot is clearly using this model.

Azteryz9/27/2017, 9:05:53 PM2 votes

i recall in one of eveylns interactions with tahm she tells him to stay off her turf

which is neat

ZarZuf9/26/2017, 10:12:57 PM2 votes

Aatrox is pride I think (or maybe wrath?)

Also to be noted: Aatrox Evelynn TahmKench all are demons in the lore, so we just miss the other 4, which may or may not be released in the future.
