I think Miss Fortune deserves a VO update

Her new lore and story just paints her as so much more complex now than what's currently on live. Gangplank got one to reflect Burning Tides changes, so why not Miss Fortune?

I'd like to see what the current voice actress could do with a slightly darker overtone. Keep the MF charm though, don't need to descend to Sivir levels of super srs.

I'd like the new voice work to keep her bravado. MF could have a nice balance between confidently flirting/toying with her opponent, and portraying a more serious, dangerous thoughtful side.

Maybe have her talk to herself about plans for bilgewater, her past and GP, while all her taunts display flirting/ bravado/ threats

He lore paints her as a secretly dark person in light of her hatred of GP, feels like the flirting was more an act before revealing her true nature and taking over Bilgewater.

Im with you on this. While i dont think how much would it be possible to have the same VA, id like her to have a flirty\charming lines, combined more with her most recent in-game lore. Ill mis Han Solo references, tho :\ :D

Considering how old her VO is, chances are we could see Riot hire a brand new VA for her, similar to what they did with Maokai. Its entirely possible.

That said, we may not see this come from Riot for awhile, at least until they make a legendary skin for MF. Both Pulsefire Cait and Ez seem to have VAs that could very easily do the VOs for both of them. I wouldn't be surprised to see their VOs updated in the near future.

Miss Fortune's Update was such a poor result of the design team being fucking garbage at allocating resources. (Look at the garbage treatment Sejuani's skins received in the Tank update). I love the design teams, I really do, but they seriously need to learn how to AT LEAST give other champions a fair shot, instead of just bias-ly dumping all over their resources into one champion.

GP Received up to 3 Seperate VO's for the Burning Tides event alone (Base, Captain and the Announcer Pack), on top of a brand new fully comprehensive VGU.

MF saw a Model Improvement and changes to her classic VFX. Fuck she didn't even see new SFX for her Machine Guns in Mafia or her Shotguns in Road Warrior. Even Twitch received that treatment. They didn't even meaningfully update her kit either, they just smoothed out some of her scalings and made her overtuned for a short while.

It wasn't until months later that she received Love Tap to act as a new passive that actually meaningfully changed her kit in a positive way.

Well, i am all for voice over change (unlike my attitude for a visuals update), but they already confirmed voiceover update coming at some point in a future. So keep your fingers crossed for this one :D

I think it was confirmed along the lines of "We will eventually get around to updating every champion to have modern VO" not a "We will update MF's VO." It's a given that she will EVENTUALLY get a VO update.

I wish we had a red post giving us an official hint if MF will be having a VO anytime soon. Will still be upset that it should have been updated the same time as GP's VU. I was surprise it wasn't updated during the Shadow and Fortune events like they did with Ashe's VO when she had her VU first and then the VO during the Freljord update.

Gangplank's was to reflect his champion update. The fact that they played it out during the event was just that, part of the event. They released him appearing as a Captain then through the story MF thinks she killed him and thus they released the rest of his update as he actually survived.

MF though, does indeed need one but they just didn't do that at the time cause she wasn't the one with the major VGU and they had yet to do smaller VO updates like we've seen with Lux and Maokai.

Gangplank got a full VGU, Miss Fortune only got a model update and some minor kit fixes, and nothing more. I would have preffered if she had gotten a full VGU as well, considering her current animations are old as hell and need modernization.

Last VGU of her was a 2 years ago (sometime around the BW event, i think. Both animation and rendering), and doesnt needs to be changed, unless you are one of those... ah, nvm forget it. IMO it aged well, unlike some of the other champs, that are desperately in a need of a graphic update (Like Morgana and Evelynn, that are still using renderings from 2009, despite new textures).

More appropriate VO change, on the other hand, wouldnt hurt.

Miss Fortune didn't get a VGU, just an exterior model update. They didn't change any of her animations, none of her rigging, none of her audio files. If you compare her animations now to how they were 5 years ago, you'll see they haven't changed at all. That isn't a VGU, that's a half-ass visual update. Visual updates in the past, before they began half-assing it, were on the scale of Karthus and Heimerdinger - they completely overhauled the visuals, with new audio, animations, and everything. What Miss Fortune got is hardly comparable to a real VU.

Here is her old spotlight. Just take a good look at the animations. They are clunky, as it was usual for that period of time. They WERE updated and ironed out, along with her VGU. And they do look similar to her old ones from the video (probably due to her kit remaining pretty much the same). So it creates an illusion that they weren't updated at all. And i can understand you calling that half-assed. But i dont know. I think they are fine, compared to some other characters, left behind.

Now, look at the Evelynn, for example. THAT is half assed, in my opinion. All they did it was updating her animations and a texture. Also, they changed her splashes a bunch of times, and they got uglier every time they did it. Yet, she STILL have an old model from 2009, back when i started playing and main-ed her.

MF went through SO MUCH changes, and i agree with them not planing on updating anything else except the voice over (and the new skin splashes). It is expensive and complicated to get done, anyway.

Evelynn was never professed to have gotten a VU- she got a texture update, like everyone else, when they updated the Rift and wanted to make sure all the champion textures complimented it.

Thresh could use one too. While his VO is pretty fitting of his character, It's still pretty lacking considering how important he is to the Shadow Isle lore (being he's kinda indirectly responsible for the Ruination).

Nope. I mean Thresh. Thresh led the Ruined King to his vault to bring his wife back with one of the artifacts. This led to the Ruined King casting a spell that was amplified by the vaults contents and thus the ruination occurred. Its in Hec's bio actually, 9th paragraph.

TBH I think her VO can stay as-is for a while, I just want her lore to be easier to experience. Have you ever tried digging up all the short stories from these events and trying to summarize it for friends that are newer to the game? There's some good plot here but it honestly was better organized under the champion pages and in the Journal of Justice, the Universe page requires me plunging through tons of art to find anything.
