Is this some kind of joke? Fiora was one of the nicer looking champs and she's getting a visual update, but fixing the abomination that is Mordekaiser's pizza feet is "way down on the priority list"?

The last set of changes were probably to hopefully hold him off till the rework came. But overall didn't do much for him. It worked for Urgot. Who I think is still supposed to get a rework, although maybe not as much of one after they saw how successful he became.
Otherwise only reason for them to hold off is if his animations wouldn't work with the kit. Also his kit could be bad with the bruiser/tank items they're coming out with soon. But the VU isn't ready.
No reason to get upset, we don't know what goes behind the scenes. But his VU is on their list.

Morde's kit could be very complicated. Fiora's not as much. If they're at a wall why hit their head on Morde's metal armor vs Fiora's soft exterior.
Fiora's kit was in the works sooner. I don't think Riot was ever OK with how they left her. She's never been a team focused champion in a team game. Brings nothing to the team but damage and splitpushing. Morde brings that same damage and a lot of teamfighting power in his kit. While Morde's VU was more needed, Fiora's kit was worse off. They like to try and release both at the same time. For whatever reason, they are unable to do this with Morde.
Fiora's model was OK. It was dated, but wasn't pizza feet. I agree Morde needed it more. Again I'm sure Riot has their reasons. I'd assume they're probably building 100% from scratch. Fiora could could of used some left over parts. Making her extremely easy to do in comparison.

DG Ashabel3 votesExcept that there is? Depending on how his gameplay rework goes, he will likely need a completely different set of animations to go along with his abilities. That would mean his model will be designed and rigged according to the demands of his abilities' animations, meaning that designing it now would run the risk of having to build a completely different model with different rigging later.
Sure, it would be very nice if Riot's character models were flexible enough to endure new animations, but do keep in mind that League is running on the worst possible engine. Adobe Air is for making cheap mobile apps, not large multiplayer arena games.
The key issue is that League's animations are so extremely pre-canned that it might as well be a spite-based game masquerading as a 3D one, which introduces a whole morass of issues when putting an ability into motion. The model needs to be rigged just so or the entire process will go pear-shaped.

Strat1 votesI'd like to see a source on where Riot said "Mordekaiser is low on the priority list." As far as I'm aware Riot said that Mordekaiser is getting a VU, but only with the coming kit rework. They may be having trouble internally producing a balanced kit that suits Morde's theme.

They do have a point w.r.t. Poppy, though.

That said, look at it from Riot's perspective. A lot of the champion designers are hired for their creativity. Creativity doesn't easily stick to a strict priority list, it often relies on sudden bursts of inspiration. Perhaps Fiora was lower on the priority list, but she was still on it and someone happened to come up with the new ideas for her kit.
Of course, someone more cynical could claim that 5 times more people play Fiora than Morde/Poppy, so people are more likely to spend RP on the champion and skins when they update her than Morde/Poppy. But personally, this time, I'd rather be optimistic and say it's the former rather than the latter.
