I might be jumping the gun here but is this legit?
So, a friend of mine just showed me these on discord, saying it's some early concept draft for Mordekaiser. I personally don't know what to thing about those.
Any clarification?

Looks like Gragas cosplaying Mordekaiser
It's fan made, but it looks really nice. What do you think of it as a Mordekaiser main? There are ability concepts on his/her ArtStation website as well.
I don't really like the chain arm (interesting idea, but seems too thin for a living suit of armor like Mordekaiser) and Knightfall looks more like a magic scepter than a mace.
I don't like the ghostly green. I would like Mordekaiser since he precedes the shadow isles to glow red like his current 3rd q coloration it's a Small but important Detail.
Also I'll pass on Fat Mordekaiser

I am more than happy with that mace design, and the color of the cape is perfect, but I am somewhat "meh" about the rest of it.
I personally believe half of what makes Mordekaiser recognizable are his existing proportions. There are rumors that a Mordekaiser VU is in the works in the somewhat distant future, and while part of me likes the idea of the green undead particles and whatnot, I don't want him to be washed out with the very typical and overused visual theme that most Shadow Isles champs currently embody. That rework concept above is a good example of how quickly this can turn dangerously close to Thresh, Karthus or Hecarim territory. I, for one, missed the days where Morde's spells were actually the powers of metal (IE: his E making mace heads come out of the ground, etc.,), and the closer we can get back to that, the better. That's just my stance on the matter.
I like the mace design, The mix of magic and metal fits Mordekaiser better, imo, than his current mace.
Go and check were you got it, you are smart enough to figure it out.
I love the chain arm idea. It's a great way to make him more ethereal, but still metal. Dunno why they chose to make him fat though. Mordekaiser was a warlord and general who got down and dirty on the front lines - he wasn't a fat cat who controlled from afar.
It's...weird to say the most. The chain arm is an interesting idea, but more preferable to another champ. It doesn't really fit Mord who's suppose to look like a seriously badass death knight king. His mace, if you can even recognize it as that, it horrible. It literally looks like a scepter more than anything else. On top of this, is this actually Gragas doing a poor cosplay of him?
Now the other options down near the lower corner look a lot more promising. They actually seem to look like a reworked him a whole lot better.
All in all, I don't think you should be too worried about this (yet). This is still concept art on how they want to take Mord so it may or may not make it through of passing for how he'll look like.
I would dig "Option B" if these are legit.
I think this looks really cool. He look's like the sorta goofy villain you'd see in a platformer like Megaman or Shovelknight. This doesn't rally take away from how evil he is at all though. I don't play darksouls, but I've seen gameplay and screens of some enemies from that that look similar as well.
His gauntlets being connected to the rest of the armor by chains is a really cool design.
I think overall this would be a very good build or silhouette for both an ap bruiser like Galio or a tanky mage like Maokai. The imposing size of someone that can crush you, and the smug decadence of a glacier that can't be scratched.
It looks like he knows how to hold a cup of grog, better than his mace.
Mordekaiser is the Death knight, a God of metal someone who is definitely looks super Bad-ass Mordekaiser can't be belly-meat weight semi to gragas I don't think thats a mordekaiser at all.. it's awkward i think that's a new champion from the shadow isles who was in the lore of hecarim and Mordekaiser the Warmonger one that revived Yorick and the ghouls from the graveyard, i was thinking mordekaiser did that but mordekaiser wasn't the only grave reviver. This can be the new champion from the lore of the shadow isles.
Overal I do like the back design,but in the end I don't think this really fits Morde anyway. Like many here already said,he looks rather overweight and his mace looks not very imposing.
In general I think that Mordes helmet shouldn't really change in terms of shape. It is pretty iconic to him and looks pretty good anyway.
Unlikely. Looks way too "already in production" than early draft. Not only that but both VGU teams are focusing on different projects currently, so if anything stuff like this would probably start to be done at the time their other projects are mostly finished. And considering that a big class update is scheduled before the VGUs of Urgot and Evelynn it is really unlikely that the champup teams are ready for a new project.
Looks like a Mix of Gragas and Urgot.
Gonna have to wait. They'll be working on the next Ryze rework at the moment.

I really wouldn't like that kind of rework since to me Mord reminds me more of a Sauron or even Vader. This is just CDI Ganon. The art in itself is good, but applied to Mord it becomes sad.

Why did they make mordekaiser overweight? Why is his mace replaced with a torch? So cringy.

Looks godawful to me. You dont change the trademark helm and make him look pregnant. He only needs sharper features and armor improvements.
Honestly this look like a Jax skin it got the same body type.
