I do not like the new Mt. Targon bios

Originally, I was on the fence on how I felt about the new narratives. While I liked the fact there was a story without the league, I was torn on how each of the champions were portrayed. I didn't know why. Until I really looked back at the old storied and realized that what has happened is the additional stories i had developed for myself were completely shattered. Nothing that I had vested myself into, would hold true anymore. And that kind of loss ends up killing the characters you hold so dear.

Unfortunally this is something that happens when you get more of the "official" story. Take for example champions reveals, we get an idea of what they might be and start theorycrafting like mads. Jhin "Deadeye" was thought to be a Zaunite or Piltoverian champion until Riot said he was from Ionia.

We got some heavy changes in Cassiopeia, Xerath, Ezreal and most of Shurima related characters. Shadow Isles champions also got some difference in them (While I think Riot did a good job in preserving their cores). It happens.

SI and Targon stories for now look really good and while they might have killed something (still holding my hopes for Baker Pantheon) they gave far more dept to characters.

That can happen with champion lore updates. It doesn't mean they are bad and you can develop new ones.

Plus you can write about the old ones as your own.

Overall I have mixed feelings for the new lores. There are some aspects that I do like(leona feels more fleshed out,Diana doesn't feel so irreasonable anymore,the story of atreus was nice and Pantheon was really badass when he fell from the heavens),there are some points that I do not like(Leona being a bit too dark in terms of character,Diana not matching her ingame appearance anymore and Atreus being dead)

In the end though I'd say it was still a change for the good. Far from perfect,but not a total disaster for me.
