I mean, they confirmed making Shadow Isles-ish skins are restricting to them. That means thing's have just got retconned again. Not tryign to start the whole retcon argument. But, Kalista's lore seemed to change from the first perspective we saw at first. "Armored Nightmare. Only gets revenge for those worthy." It seems things have shifted again.

Further stating the Harrowing can happen any time of the year, which is reasonable perfectly. But we're not going to have icons, featured game mode, or skins from it. Because the Slayer skins and one for all took that spotlight. All I'm expecting now is, what's going to happen to Bilgewater.

So it's not going to be a big thing every year now huh?

Uhm how do you jump to the conclusion that things were retconned again? In Kalistas case it was never specified if she'd take a pact with anyone and it makes sense that she judges the people who offer their soul to he first. I mean if a betrayer got betrayed, she surely wouldn't want him as a part of her.(also there are different levels of betrayal, she might see some cases as trivial)

Anyway the reason why they probably seperate the harrowing from halloween is probably so that they don't need to spent resources on a new harrowing every year,I mean other places need lore updates too.(not to mention that it would grow repetetive rather fast). Also they probably want to make clear that the harrowing doesn't always happen during halloween in runeterra(if it did and they gave us a harrowing every year, then they'd have to progress the lore accordingly, which would turn several champions quickyl old)

That's a lot of Wild Mass Guess.

I was hoping there would be a big event for Halloween... There's still 9 days though.

Judging from the way that they're approaching it this year as well as the recent burning bridges event they might change it so that the harrowin happens every other year ( the shadow ides spreading out and attacking bilge water ) we are still getting some type of event judging from the way Ryan has responded to the heroine sc we are still getting some type of event judging from the way Ryan has responded to the harrowin skins. But you are correct it probably won't be as big as last year. They also said that Snowdowns gonna be similar in terms of it being different than previous years

It seems we are not gonna have a Harrowing this year at all (at least not in October) we are gonna have a Halloween instead.

While i understand their desire to tell Shadow isles stories any time of the year I don't wanna have a harrowing on Easter. And I don't see the need to. I mean there are other Shadow Isles stories to tell They must be more than just the harrowing to them after all.

The map from last year basically set things up that the Harrowing isn't Halloween in Runeterra and the events don't align in the lore, so anything we get from Harrowing this year is most likely almost entirely story focused with no corresponding skins, icons, game modes or whatever. How they'll present this is anyone's guess, but given the fact that last year's Harrowing was pretty light on story I'm wagering there'll be a bit more than a map and a video.

Also given it's not tied to Halloween, Harrowings could occur twice in the same year if they wanted to do that. They've only been getting more frequent after all.

But yeah, Harrowing is gonna be story focused this year, not a brief establishing element with skins, icons and a game mode. I'd imagine there's a chance for a promo site for this to be displayed on, but I dunno. There's like 6 days or so left until the Harrowing strikes so we'll see how it goes.
