Do you think Alistar's new splash makes him look evil?

I mean, his old art is also really aggressive, but he looks more mad than anything, and the intent behind the anger isn't clear. In his new splash though... http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-E70xphoIdJc/VK9Eb-HZVsI/AAAAAAAAg4U/lV5yItowDHM/s1600/AlistarSplash_0.jpg

He's looking directly at the viewer with a kind of evil look on his face and those glowing red eyes and it just comes off as painting him as a more evil character out to destroy things.

Red eyes in general tend to make champs evil looking,it is just the way alistar looks and I am fine with that, because not every good guy has to look like one.

This reminds me of Nasus who always had red eyes and no one bothered, but when he got a VU,everyone was complaining about the red eyes making nasus looking evil and riot trying to turn him into a villain,so riot changed his eye colour to blue......despite the fact that nasus always had red eyes.

no it just makes him look like a angry bull who hates red

Now you're making me paranoid that the new "Narrative" team is going to try and turn Alistair into a villain for Mount Targon...

Gapybo1/9/2015, 12:53:46 PM6 votes

To me he looks aggressive. People tend to mistake that for evil but this actually fits Ali perfectly.

Am I the only one that thinks the splash looks a tad off? Like, kinda how the new Wukong splash looked a bit off but not quite...

Waffletimewarp1/9/2015, 5:47:48 PM3 votes

Well it appears he's breaking out of his chains, meaning the guys being trampled are likely Noxians. And if his and Xin's lores are anything to go by, those Noxians had it coming.

Centuros1/9/2015, 5:55:43 PM3 votes

Okay, who used a blowtorch on Ali's chains?

aaronconlin1/10/2015, 1:47:20 AM3 votes

Well, I'm hoping the new lore is going to make Alistar from Mount Targon, and the new splash seems to support this. I don't think he looks evil, I think he looks pissed. He's got the chains on his arms breaking off, and a person getting thrown to the ground, so this could be when Alistar is freed from the arena.

And honestly, this makes me kind of want an Alistar rework, even if it's just switching his scaling from AP to AD, he doesn't seem like the type of champion to use ability power when he's a raging minotaur smashing things.

Dreamspitter1/9/2015, 9:29:05 PM2 votes

He looks badass.

PikaCHU5671/9/2015, 4:13:05 PM2 votes

Rage quit?

stealthfox941/10/2015, 4:32:26 AM2 votes

that's badass.

Colgate Gator1/9/2015, 5:49:40 PM2 votes

He seems more angry than anything. It most likely depicts the moment he broke out of his chains, I'd be pretty pissed, too.

LDinoriderR1/9/2015, 6:26:01 PM2 votes

Seeing how he is a really strong minotaur, the new splash art portrays him pretty good. His old splash was a bit silly with that one derping eye. But he isn't really evil looking in this one. Atleast to me. For a Noxian who is pretty sure about to be smashed in this picture, he definetly could. But for me he just looks angry.

AmbushIntheDark1/9/2015, 6:48:31 PM2 votes

I wouldnt say evil. From the story the splash is telling, hes literally just broken his chains. Hes pissed. People tend to look mean when they're fighting their way out of captivity.

IMTOOJUICY1/9/2015, 8:21:11 PM2 votes

Just cuz a guy is about to fack you up doesn't mean he's evil.

Krizalid1/9/2015, 12:03:54 PM2 votes

It makes him look kinda cool.

Sooko1/11/2015, 11:11:03 PM1 votes

But Ali IS an angry bull. I mean, how pissed off would any other minotaur be if he was put in an arena to fight after having his tribe and family invaded by Noxians? All I have to say is that, just because he is angry, doesn't seem to mean that he is actually evil, because he in fact has all the right to be angry.

"Yeah... Mundo will need you to come on Saturday!" DrMundo "Now, I'm angry! Alistar

NorthernDruid1/9/2015, 11:36:35 AM1 votes

The red eyes are overdoing it a bit I think, but otherwise this looks par for Alistar.

His passive actually is trampling all over the place. And this makes it really visible while having some really cool lighting.

Kingsgrave1/9/2015, 7:29:37 PM1 votes

Alistar has always been a super angry cowman

RasCaelestis1/9/2015, 9:07:21 PM1 votes

I'm okay with the red eyes, but my issue with the splash art is the proportions... How big is Alistar actually supposed to be? In this, it looks like his fist is nearly as big as the guy he knocked over. I know he's supposed to be bigger than most humans, but he looks enormous here.

Pyrocerebus1/9/2015, 10:32:13 PM1 votes

this is just me but I think if we his mouth was closed but he still had this sort of frown he would look more angry instead of evil

Narog1/10/2015, 3:46:26 AM1 votes

Looks like any other Minotaur i seen in other games , the used to have some personality more of a heart now is just generic angry bull #4

PuDDG26FP91/10/2015, 4:31:31 AM1 votes

He looks angry to me. Apart from evil, the color red also has the meaning of anger, or passion.

The Fire on Fire1/11/2015, 4:39:06 PM1 votes

Come on, hes a bull. Bulls are always super angry at something.
