I am literally losing sleep here and feeling like trash over how long I have to wait and endure to finally play my Glorious General. Last Roadmap broke my hype meter and now all that's left is suffering and the immeasurable pain of Swain not being revealed. I am like a wounded raven, bleeding and unable to take flight.
Any advice on how to suffer less?

RiotWhren4 votesHonestly, the champs (and champ update) team folks have been killing it -- my contribution is via the Worldbuilding team, so we'd have conversations about how the update or new champs will relate to what's established for Runeterra, and how we can sync designs up :) Like in Swain's case, we talked about options to make Swain jive with the new Noxian look instead of the weird green robe he had on before, and then they went off and came up with the amazeballs in the teaser. I take the stance of, "these guys know what they're doing so my ideas are going to be like selling ice to eskimos". The iteration and thought they go through is inspiring and incredible, and I'd hazard to say I wouldn't want to throw a wrench in their engines.
That said, are there some burning ideas you have for champion changes? What's burnin' a hole in ya?

But as one sufferer to another, can I ask for a tiny little bit of information: In the current state of Noxus lore, how much consideration has been given to Vladimir & the blood cults? I see lore team people sharing their headcanons about their favorite characters all the time, but no one has really given any flavour on my boy Vlad. This means they either have something mindblowingly awesome in store or are just not that bothered at all. Which one is it?

I have lived in three countries and I have never felt as much patriotism towards any of them as I do towards Noxus. I felt Swain's old lore and VO were like a leaky dish that failed to capture and retain the greatness of my nation. I can only tear up with patriotic pride as I read this in the company of my numerous Noxus posters and beautiful raven statuette.

About blood mages: I really liked the release of Sion's update, is all that lore stuff still canon? There were especially Swain, LeBlanc and Vlad involved, and those are three very old champs that I could see being updated and changed sooner or later...

Yes actually! you're a homie for asking!<3 It's for my boy Talon. It would involve everyone agreeing to giving assassins their burst speeds back for lets say, to tone down adc's... Here it is! (yes i've kept new keystones in mind)
(P) a different version of the current one. Dealing X amount of damage in X amount of time procs the bleed. Kinda like how you proc stormrider's surge

I’ve mentioned this to Reav3 before, but I think if/when Quinn ever gets a VGU, she could be a much cooler and iconic character as a Demacian Raptor Knight!
These knights are like Quinn & Valor on steroids — big, armored Demacian dudes with avian companions whose trust they’ve earned only through tons of training and companionship. IIRC, they’re also the most elite soldiers in the Demacian military, which means if Quinn were ever to become one, it would push her “rags to riches” / “commoner to commander” narrative even further while also preserving what's already unique and core to her character (Demacian scout with a close relationship to a bird companion).
Anyway, this is probably something you guys have already thought about, and apologies for going off-topic from Swain, just thought I’d mention it anyway because I think the idea has a lot of potential =)

So an idea thats been on my mind is for Akali when she finally gets her VGU. Firstly Akali in comparison to her other counterparts Shen and Kennen is relatively bland. Shen wields a Spirit Blade, Kennen was born with Boundless Energy and speed and Akali is just....a ninja. This has been on my mind for years and Daniel Z Klein said it best months ago in what he would do if he was to rework her and the first thing he said was to think up a way to show where she draws her power from. With the name 'Fist of Shadow' you would assume she would be more then just a regular green ninja girl but Akali technically doesnt really have a power. Her mini Scythes have always been a standard part of who she is but maybe they can be expressed better or changed into different weapons altogether. Somthing like Shadow Blades/Shadow Scythes either handed down through her clan over the years for the next Fist of Shadow or weapons found similar to Zeds forbidden technique that shows where she draws her power from in her new kit with the idea of say duality behind them. That leads to my next idea...
Over the years theres always been tons of speculation of Akali and whats her connection to Zed and his order. With Kayn coming out recently as a student of Zed an idea that could help fit her thematically in her VGU is that Akali was a former student of Zed and one of his most prized students and had her shadow blades/scythes passed down to her by him and maybe went rogue on Zeds order or maybe even was working undercover in Zeds order purposely. Something that ties it all together between all of them since we know what happened between Zed and Shen. I think something like this could really open up about her general power, where her intentions going forward and previously lie and could give some great dialogue between her, Zed, Shen, Kayn and Kennen.
These are just some rough thoughts though but just some stuff on my mind.

My only suggestion is I guess to try and keep expectations a bit low. You should be excited, definitely, but also remember that this may not be the same Swain you know and love.
