So the King IS active on the Shadow Isles after all.

The Theory I have always believed in was that the ruined king is actually active on the Shadow Isles and not stuck in an altar.....And The lady of the Mist confirms it. " The King will come for it!" Does this mean that the king is actually some abomination that still rules over some? Does Hecarim show loyalty to him or the Mist? If that is so, that means the Queen herself is active(of course) I personally believe the Queen is actually like a brood mother with a hive mind connection to the Isles....maybe. I can't help but to think the Lady of the Mist might actually be the queen's will her self.

I'm sure the King dead form is also near her some where on the Isles. He must be protective of her. The very last thing that happened before everyone died, was the queen returned as a maggot infested rotting body brought to life. She also pleaded to be killed. BUT, the King did not anticipate that his magic spell was using energy from the artifacts within the Blessed Order.

I won't state that this is illogical, but it is a possibility that the very same location where that spell was performed, is exactly where the king holds some power AND the queen is there too. But I can't shake the possibility that her will is that of the mist. I just can't, not after hearing that voice in Yorick's VO.

Mordekaiser is the ruler of the Isles. Anyway, the King and Queen probably still exist somewhere on the Isles, but they're probably in a state of endless misery and pain or something. The King, though completely mad, did have… honorable intentions. He just wanted to see his wife again. I doubt he's glad that the Isles are an undead cesspool of evil and wailing souls. Also, the Maiden of the Mist is just the smorgasbord of souls that Yorick has taken given form. However, I don't know why the Maiden seems to admire or venerate the Ruined King, hopefully that comes out eventually.

I believe that The King bound the Queen's souls together, so maybe there one being.
