@Jaredan: Should we still hold out for a Voodoo-esque Champion?

I'm still hoping for a Champion who gets into all that Big Bad Voodoo stuff, while not making it 100% Voodoo (as that'd be awkward).

There was already a Voodoo Champion during the beta of LoL who was named Tabu the Voodoo Shaman, he was canceled and reworked into Swain Swain

The "reworked into Swain"-part is just speculation though. They never confirmed that.

And well its not like they can't revive the concept.I mean they also cancelled priscilla the spider queen,which didn't stop them from making Elise.

Well you can see this from his spells, his ultimate could be another name for swain's ultimate - a lifesteal channeling attack, his q could be swain's q with damage per second and his E became swain's W -the stun while his W became swain's E another damage per second, the passive was probably the only changed one

almost all of these canceled champions became other champions like averdian became heimerdinger, rob blackblade became Udyr , that tree thing became maokai, Priscilla became Nidalee etc

We don't know anything about Tabus abilities except for their names and his passive(which weakened enemies). Just because Tabus ultimate was called soul drain doesn't mean it worked similar to swains ultimate and the rest is purely speculation as well.

Also it was confirmed that Averdrian was NOT heimerdinger and Nidalee was NOT Priscilla http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=119489&page=2#post1372031

And Rob blackblades development cycle was merely filled by Udyr,it doesn't mean that he became udyr,just that they stopped working on Rob and started to work on Udyr instead. That would be like saying that Omen was recycled into riven.
