Why was Syndra chosen to get a Star Guardian skin?

With her lore we know she's not exactly a good girl and she has basically all Ionia against her, I don't see why she should be pictured as a protector, and yes, I do understand that skins picture a different universe but I think Syndra would've been way more cool and bad-ass if she were to be pictured in a dark star theme; imagine her Q creates small blackholes that get visually stronger when she reaches level 9 Thoughts?
