How do you pronounce Veigar's name?

I always used a long I sound like in height. (typical of Germanic languages)

But I've heard people using the long A sound like in weight. (typical of latin/romance languages)

Have I been doing it wrong this whole time?

I probably pronounce a lot of champions names differently than most people do because of my background in languages, but this is an especially important matter if I'm ever going to have a cat named Veigar.

I don't think it really matters, but I pronounce it "Vay-Gahr"

I hear it pronounced exclusively as "Vigh-gar", like High

If we're going with how I have heard Rioters and shoutcasters pronounce it, it's "VAY-gar". Personally however I will always pronounce it "VI-gar"

I pronounce it both ways, no real reason why i do it either way but sometimes one just fits. Its like Darius, sometimesi pronounce it Dare-EE-us and other times Dahr-EE-us. Although if his name comes from Darius I, the ancient Persian king, then its pronounced Duh-rahy-us i believe...

Now pronounce Shaco.

I think Veigar would prefer his name be pronounced like height, but a lack of exposure to German makes that pronunciation sound odd to me.

Riot seems to be pushing the pronunciation towards "Vay-Gahr" as evident in Final Boss Veigar's voice lines and Tristana's update.

Personally, I prefer "Vi-Gahr" but I can't have everything. I suppose I will just have to make do with devouring souls.Veigar
