Madame Elodie is Jhin's target.

It hit me like a sack of potatoes on Reddit.

Who is Madame Elodie? A self proclaimed (as far as we know) Ionian princess who left home to see the world.

What state is Ionia in right now? A rather fractured one where groups are acting in their own interests and rivalries are getting more apparent.

What do assassins do? Take out important figures.

It was never about Camille (though this would impact her as a death of an important figure from Ionia in what's basically the Piltover slums makes trade relations bad and could harm Piltover progress)! It was about who is worth being targeted by Jhin as an assassin. Elodie fits the bill!

I think Saito Takeda - the chemo-baron mentioned in Zac's bio and Evelynn's new lore - is more likely.

We know from Evelynn's lore that he's a former Ionian crime lord (as if that wasn't obvious enough by his name) and that he hired Evelynn to be his personal assassin and bodyguard for a certain period of time. This alone implies that he knows that he's been hunted by someone or some organization in the recent lore events.

Meanwhile, Zac's bio tells us that he hired Zac's parents and other alchemists and scientists as a means to create a bio-soldier. Why would a chem-baron be interested in mass-producing a sort of bio-soldier unless if he had buyers who were interested in his "product?" Maybe something that wouldn't just grab the attention of other chemo-barons and Zaunite crime lords... but Noxian military as well, perhaps?

Or it's also very likely that Jhin has been assigned to kill both. He kills approximately 4 people in each region he visits. So maybe both of them will end up being targets.

That seems like a solid guess

Seems likely to me. For all the attention she got in that story, Riot must have some plans for her, wether as a champion in the game or an important figure in the lore. I don't think she'll be a champion just because her theme would overlap too much with Sona. As far as we know, Ionia does not have a monarchy, so Elodie being a princess just seems to be like a fairy tale she tells her orphans. But it would make sense for her to be a political refugee. Why else would an Ionian come to live in Zaun?

But why would Ionia care for a former countryman to lie about her heritage? Wasn't the cable formed to get back on Noxus and Zaun for invading them? If Elodie was a target, how would it send the message they want: Terror. That's why Jhin was hired. Her death would surely rouse some people in Zaun but it wouldn't make their message clear, Elodie has told people she is of Ionian heritage.

So what would some Zaunites care save the Hope house? I believe one of the Chembarons is a target and....Singed. Because he played a role in the invasion war. They probably don't ahve his whereabouts, but they can send their message by making an example of one of the chembarons or some one important enough that does similar work like singed does.

If Jhin were to come to Piltover/Zaun for one of these reasons, it could definitely make for some interesting story. As Jinx terrorizes Piltover, Jhin comes along with specific targets in mind. So Camille, the Chem Barons and the Piltover Sheriffs have a lot on their hands. However I'm still 90% sure Jhin won't be coming to the region for any reason. Largely because I feel Jinx would either overshadow him with the panic she causes or it would take away from Jinx's spotlight. The region already has its own psychotic killer. The best way I think they could approach it, is if Jhin gets his own side story, however I think when the time comes, it's more likely to have him in Ionia or Noxus.

EDIT: Something else just popped into my head. I'd love to see what Jhin would think of Jinx's work and what an interaction between them would be like. Anyone willing to ship Jinx and Jhin?
